matched betting on the move

  • Hi, been playing this game for a month or so now and nearly at the £1k mark 🙂 I have missed quite a few opportunities for guaranteed money due to family commitments at the weekends eg footy in-play offers. My current mobile phone is not up to the job but will be getting a new one soon. Is it advisable to use a mobile for backing and laying or is it a quick way to a gubbing? At the moment I use two different browsers – one for this site and smarkets and odds searching and a different one for the bookies. Any tips for phone specs and or tips on matched betting while out and about?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

iPhone here, do all of my betting on it (even when sat in front of iMac!) and can’t recommend enough. I will be upgrading it to the larger screen size when they bring the new models out in Sept. Only bugbear for me is having to double tap the home button to toggle between bookie and exchange apps. That poor button has taken a hammering over the last 9 months but it still works flawlessly.

Most modern android smartphones will be similarly capable though, or perhaps a smallish tablet instead? iPad Mini has crossed my mind before. I used a full size iPad recently but it’s too big for my liking and not all that portable.

In terms of safety re gubbing, I actually think a mobile is less likely to lead to gubbsville – it is less common to have spyware installed on your phone than your desktop/laptop.

4G is an absolute must. I have an old 3G tablet and I can’t count the amount of times I’ve lost out because of the slow connection!
