Multiple Account
-
Right guys, I know this question has come up a lot in the past but after losing Ladbrokes & Bet365 in the same day, although I have many accounts left to keep me busy I was just thinking about plans for future.
I am in a great or not so great scenario (whichever way you look at it) that my girlfriend whom I don’t live with which I believe is a significant advantage due to having two different addresses, suddenly might want to start betting ;). Therefore the plan would be for her to open a new bank account, provide me with the details which I could then deposit into and then make deposits/withdrawals without getting confused with her actual money. That’s the easy bit, the hard problem is to do with the cookies/IP etc, I am not computer expert by any means..but as far as I can see the best way to avoid linking my and her account together would be to use a different internet wifi etc, but obviously that won’t always be possible. Am I right in saying using 3g/4g of my phone wouldn’t be a viable option either due to this previously being linked to my own accounts?
Any advice etc would be appreciated, I am aware certain bookies are household friendly so there would be no issues there. But the thought of having access to every single sign up offer again and starting from scratch whilst being a lot more experienced than I was is very appealing. Also, the fact this would easily with my current profits be enough for a house deposit would just be great.
Cheers guys.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Ahaha good one mate 😉 I did lots of researching last night!
+0Ryan – Starlords suggestion is the best and cheapest
Just buy a second hand smartphone and a cheap sim-only contract
Set up new accounts in your girlfriends name, use the debit card on her new account to fund the bookies acounts
Set up a new email address and use it when registering with the bookies
Use 3G only – don’t use your home wifi.
Don’t use the smartphone for anything else apart from matched betting.
I have mates who use the above system for all their multiple accounts, not had a problem yet apart from the usual random gubbings that happen every so often
+0Cheers Mozzer, like I was saying I am due a new contract anyway but was wondering if that was not an option as it would be the same sim just a new phone…
+0If any of your neighbours are on BT then you may be able to use the BT WiFi hotspot feature. Most mobile network providers give you free access to these anyway so it would save paying extra.
+0Right well cheers for the help guys!
+0Right, good new almost got myself a sim card contract sorted. I assume I NEED to use a different phone, as the IP and stuff relates to my phone and not the sim/3g is this wrong?
+0I currently have 3 sky bet accounts, i have 2 debit cards that i use for 2 of them and use Paypal on the other one! And i place all my bets with all 3 off the same phone or laptop, no problems so far haha!

Thats because Sky is a household/partner friendly bookie and don’t mind you having more than one account at one address. Many many of them don’t allow it and therefore if im going to this trouble I don’t want to make new accounts for them to gubbed instantly therefore want to do all I can to prevent that hence asking the question do I need a new phone or not…as I have got another sim card with a different contract just don’t know if thats enough
+0Yes you need a new phone. Every device has a unique internal address that can be tracked. So if you use the same phone then they could if they wanted to link it back to you.
+0I don’t know if they do. But they could.
+0Fog, is that the same for laptops and ipads? Or is it just phones?
+0It’s the same for every device, phones, laptops, tablets, PCs, you name it.
+0Thanks LJH. That’s a shame. I’ll have to buy a new device then.
+0My partner has recently signed up for a few different accounts to do the SUB’s and in preperation for Cheltenham and I bought a cheap android phone on O2, I got a free giffgaff sim from a friends referal (and we both got a £5 bonus! Like matched betting with phones!) I’m paying £10 a month for 1gb and has been enough so far. I can’t stress how handy it is to have 2 phones to have 2 different screens open at the same time!
The only issue I have had is with bet365. Deposited the full 200, got 400 and did the football offers and last week’s channel 4 races plus a few £25 correct scores to clear the bonus. I used 4G throughout until my balance was clear. SUB complete.
I turned on wifi on the spare phone to download some bookie apps (because of the 1gb download limit) I had bet365 open in thr background. Less than an hour later my girlfriend had the gubbing email from Bet365. I’m certain that it’s because of the wifi link even though I didn’t use the site while connected. I can’t see any other reason why. I won one bet during the whole process (on barca, hardly an obscure team, league or market!) And they are £200 better off.
I was obviously disappointed but lesson learnt for the future, house wifi has now been “forgotten” from the phone.
A few have said on this forum that they’ve used the same wifi for bet365 on multiple accounts with no trouble, would be interested to know if either of those accounts were gubbed and the others survived?
+0Cheers for that Mark massive help as well as everyone else! I think I will definitely find it tricky to remember to never have wifi turned on but I guess ill have to! Another interesting thought is in the past I have placed bets using my phone at work/at girlfriends using her wifi. So I wonder how clever their systems are regarding this so say I get the new phone new contract turned on wifi at hers or at work would this trigger something…perhaps not at work but maybe at hers? Or im probably just looking into this too much! But as you say I could do with using wifi at the start to download lots of apps etc..
