Multiple Account

  • Right guys, I know this question has come up a lot in the past but after losing Ladbrokes & Bet365 in the same day, although I have many accounts left to keep me busy I was just thinking about plans for future.

I am in a great or not so great scenario (whichever way you look at it) that my girlfriend whom I don’t live with which I believe is a significant advantage due to having two different addresses, suddenly might want to start betting ;). Therefore the plan would be for her to open a new bank account, provide me with the details which I could then deposit into and then make deposits/withdrawals without getting confused with her actual money. That’s the easy bit, the hard problem is to do with the cookies/IP etc, I am not computer expert by any means..but as far as I can see the best way to avoid linking my and her account together would be to use a different internet wifi etc, but obviously that won’t always be possible. Am I right in saying using 3g/4g of my phone wouldn’t be a viable option either due to this previously being linked to my own accounts?

Any advice etc would be appreciated, I am aware certain bookies are household friendly so there would be no issues there. But the thought of having access to every single sign up offer again and starting from scratch whilst being a lot more experienced than I was is very appealing. Also, the fact this would easily with my current profits be enough for a house deposit would just be great.

    Cheers guys.

I havent done it myself but would the easiest way not be to get a cheap smartphone and only use it for this purpose?

But wouldn’t that involve needed a new sim contract? As I have no idea if your phone 3g is linked to your actual mobile or the sim card or anything…

    Hi Ryan

I’m starting to think about ways of doing this also. My sister and her fiancee will be setting up bank accounts for me (they’re registered at different addresses) when I get back from a holiday in early April. I’ll want to be able to switch between the three accounts easily, but need to ensure they’re on three different IP addresses. If I have it open on three different browsers on my laptop then I’ll need to remember to change the IP address on the VPN – and I can see myself making errors with that very easily. I’ve got an old laptop I can use for one of the sets of accounts, so I’m thinking I might get another laptop and run all three machines at the same time. This does seem a little excessive, but I think having 3-4 different screens will make it much easier. I might need to invest in a desk though, as presently all of my transaction are done lying in bed.

That doesn’t help you at all. I’m aware of that.

    Cheers

If I was in your shoes I would buy a cheap android smartphone and a cheap data contract. I’m pretty sure the apps on your phone would link to the device itself so using two accounts off one phone might raise the alarm bells. Stand to be corrected though. It’s probably worth the investment just for the peace of mind. £100 for a phone + £12/month sim-only contract. Then just always stick to 3G and stay off the home wifi.

Ive no idea mate. How about asking a non betting neighbour if you can have access to their router and use a cheap tablet if your on good enough terms.

Hmm its an interesting one, to be honest I am due a new phone contract anyway. However, this would be the same company same contract (well a refresh) and a different phone once again no idea how that changes things…need a tech guru to provide info on mobile phones etc.

Pavlon – sounds stupid not to, obviously it can be a big risk with bookies refusing to honor bets/keeping your money but provided its a completely different address etc should be alright I would have thought.

I start matched betting in December I have numerous accounts in my own name and wanted to start fresh. I got my mum who I still live with but have a different surname to get me a card in her name whipped out my wifi overnight for a new IP address and starting going through all the sign up offers I had no issues at all despite having the same address on my own accounts and new accounts in my mums name. I have a friend who has done what you are suggesting Ryan and has a smartphone and uses the 3G to do all his match betting an has had no problem. If you have an I pad or something like that just wipe it to factory settings and get a cheap contract and use that for your other account. Or neighbours wifi is a good idea depending on your relationship with them. You could even offer to pay half there wifi bill each month from the money you make. My house will hopefully be built by July and once I move in I am going to get a new bank account and try and sign up for all the bookies again and see if I can get away with it the only thing what will flag me up will be my date of birth. Will have new address new IP address so will see what happens

My girlfriend has started betting ( no laughing at the back) same address same WiFi and no issues so far. Bare in mind it’s her own bank card and the accounts she is using are accounts I closed after gubbage some months ago.

It would be difficult to set up multiple accounts under the same name, even with a different address and a different bank account etc.
This is because some bookies actually use credit reference agencies to look you up. It’s easy enough for them to tell if you are the same person.

Just setup PayPal in whoever you want an account in the name of and transfer money in and out as friends n family from your own PayPal simple as that. You don’t need any bank accounts or card numbers just an email address.

check out giffgaff goodybags, you can get a sim without need for a contract.

you can get minimum 100mb for £5. not sure if that would be enough to cover you for a month (probably would if youre only using it for matched betting)

you can get 1gb for £10 though and you’d definitely not have a problem then.

no idea about the rest but that would sort you out as far as having a different device for each account

ive been doing this for a year now, opened accounts in me and my Mrs name , same iPad same IP address and same address , different bank accounts and had no problems at all, well only problem is when the gubbings happened, PP , coral gubbed the two accounts same time, but I managed to get enough out of them. Most other accounts still, going, although with the big ones I’m only using one account now for offers, once I get gubbed on it I’ll have her account to use for a while. I have started doing it for my mate, I’ve bought a mini iPad £200 and a EE in car wifi dongle for £20 of eBay, it plugs into your lap top and you’ve have 2gb free data, with his account I’m up £700 in first month so the iPad has paid for it self

Cheers for the replies guys! Glad to see some of you have had no issues. Using next doors wifi is a no go im sure…like I said above I am in need of a new phone contract anyway, am I right in thinking if my contract was the same but different phone it would still be risky? Or is it the phone that you use and not the like 3g signal etc?
