Multiple Account
-
Right guys, I know this question has come up a lot in the past but after losing Ladbrokes & Bet365 in the same day, although I have many accounts left to keep me busy I was just thinking about plans for future.
I am in a great or not so great scenario (whichever way you look at it) that my girlfriend whom I don’t live with which I believe is a significant advantage due to having two different addresses, suddenly might want to start betting ;). Therefore the plan would be for her to open a new bank account, provide me with the details which I could then deposit into and then make deposits/withdrawals without getting confused with her actual money. That’s the easy bit, the hard problem is to do with the cookies/IP etc, I am not computer expert by any means..but as far as I can see the best way to avoid linking my and her account together would be to use a different internet wifi etc, but obviously that won’t always be possible. Am I right in saying using 3g/4g of my phone wouldn’t be a viable option either due to this previously being linked to my own accounts?
Any advice etc would be appreciated, I am aware certain bookies are household friendly so there would be no issues there. But the thought of having access to every single sign up offer again and starting from scratch whilst being a lot more experienced than I was is very appealing. Also, the fact this would easily with my current profits be enough for a house deposit would just be great.
Cheers guys.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Take a trip to any of the numerous public places that have WiFi to do all necessary set up steps, like downloading apps etc…
+0Yup was probably going to do that Tony, then just turn wifi off for good and hope I have enough monthly data…so used to doing it all on my laptop though, granted I can still lay on my laptop but still rather annoying I find on the phone sometimes!
+0I use my phone 90% of the time and to be honest you get used to it mate, although it can be frustrating toggling back and forth between bookie, exchange and calculator apps
Data is cheap these days, I have 2GB a month allowance and as I say I use my phone a lot whilst at work and out and about for MB, and I rarely need more than that. Just don’t waste your data watching the horses on 3G/4G – one month I did and it ran out 2 weeks into the month!
I think I am going to try and do this too – second accounts at the major bookies on a seperate, dedicated MB phone. Let us know how you get on mate
+0Well my girlfriend already has a spare contract (don’t ask) but its only 500mb a month so not sure how it would do…but id only be putting bets on and then ill lay on my laptop so don’t have to fanny around switching between bookies/smarkets/calculator…have done that in the past don’t know how anyone does it such a pain!
But yes will do hopefully get it all sorted soon..need to buy a cheap android phone granted not too cheap would annoy me it it was too slow.+0Make sure you turn of your mobile data when your not using it as things in the background can continue to use it and you will run out pretty quick. I had this problem with my I phone
+0My exboss said I was indecisive but I am not sure he’s correct.
+0Don’t get you Patrick? Yeah was thinking that Jeff…

Just go for it Ryan, you know it makes sense.
Multiply your monthly profit by 4 and look at the numbers.
+0Well it wouldn’t be by 4 only one extra account, granted it would be over double as id have access to them all again and the sign ups! Guess im cautious and would rather try and have everything sorted before diving in. Did read somewhere else people saying its technically tax evasion as my girlfriend winnings are obviously tax free but im technically providing a service and therefore income should be taxable. However, this does seem very extreme and isnt going to put me off!
+0Haha! Trust an accountant to notice that!
+0Just letting you know what I read 😉
+0As far as anyone knows your girlfriend is doing it in her own right so the tax issue is a red herring unless matchbetting is her only source of income.
+0Yeah its one of them, didn’t put me off thats like the most extreme example ever! And yeah she does have other income so all good
+0Careful. Just remember what your doing is against the bookmakers terms and conditions. i.e. you are operating an account which isnt in your name.
Obviously thats why you are thinking of taking these steps in order to evade bookmakers detecting this.
Im just speaking from experience unfortunately. I too opened up account for my girlfriend(different address), and she gave me access to a bank account she wasnt using with her debit card.
I operated from the same computer but from from different ip address.)I had two different isps). Signed up to various bookmakers.Lost £500 through ladbrokes. Signed up, deposit £50, initial bet won, withdrew to her bank no problem, received within a few days. Placed £50 free bet on 12-1 Narb. Bet won of course. Withdrew, got asked for id, bank statement etc. Sent this away. After about a week they got back to me saying they had voided the free bet due to the terms and conditions being breached, and highlighted the 1 per ip address/household etc terms. Tried to fight it but never got anywhere.
Secondly lost £1.5k to skybet, which is why I would never operate another account again for someone. Spotted a decent arb on an french football game, odds of 4.00, lay around 3.6. In hindsight I was asking for trouble, but seen it as an easy £30-40. Placed £500, bet won, lost just shy of £1500 at betfair. Withdrew but after a couple of days I got an email saying account was suspended and could I provide a telephone number for them to contact me(had to send in pictures of her holding her passport first!lol). So I filled the gf in about this and told her said she would need to phone up and speak to them about it. I filled her in on what to say in certain scenarios e.g if asked why you placed the bet, just say you had a tip from a betting site etc. However the phone call was a complete disaster. It was on loud speak so I could whisper in her ear anything she didnt know. They asked tons of questions, ranging from how many deposits, when did you deposit, which sport would you normally bet on, name some previous bets. At one point i got her to hang up, and just say she lost connection. I gave her more information about the bets I placed etc. She called back but the call was in vain. She got asked if she had ever played the casino, and said ‘never’ before I could tell her I played the casino bonuses a few times. I think that was the final nail in the coffin. After a couple of days she received a letter saying they believe they had enough evidence that the account was not being used directly by her and this was against the rules. They refunded her £500 deposit and closed her account 🙁 Expensive mistake!
Strangely enough, my skybet account was never closed or limited, so Im still not sure how her account was flagged up. Girl, 21 betting large amount on football/tennis?! I have no idea. Anyway, just be careful, not something I would get involved in again 🙁
+0Considering sky are household friendly and therefore they don’t mind the same ip address seems odd. But yes I know its a slight risk but obviously I just wouldn’t do mega high odds and wouldn’t leave tons of money in the bookies and all that…odd though as many people had no issues maybe it was your own fault for using the same computer….that was your biggest downfall.
