My theory beyond matched betting

  • Hi all have not posted in a while and have seen the forum collapse due to the lack of offers. My online career is all but over now due to being gubbed in the last week by my last few standing accounts. Anyway people will want to argue this but over the last month I turned a 4K bankroll into 21k by something called each way arbing.

The basic jist of this is to pick races with 8,9 16-20 runners and backing certain horses each way. It always works in fields of 16-20 runners where 4 are paid and works in the 8 or 9 especially when there are 2 or 3 outsiders or an odds on favourite.

For example I put 100 ew on a 12/1 shot on bet365 in a 17 runner race. I am looking to lay at 13 on betfair. Let the lay match and as soon as it has take the 12/1. Current position is your down a max of 5 pounds on bf commission. (Use smarkets if you wish)

Then go on the place markets and lay the horse. The odds on 365 are 3/1 (4) as a 1/4 of the odds. On betfair this should be lower and often trading around 3.3/3.4. This means you can play about with the numbers to make a profit but say i lay 120 @ 3.4 to lose 288 I can make around 12-14 on this part after commission. Therefore I’m around a tenner up before the race regardless of what happens.

As my bankroll got bigger I got better at it by doing multiple horses in races and laying the places 3 mins before the start of the race. people can say what they want about me being 17k up from it but I know I have made this money and the theory works if you are sharp at maths can react quickly to mental calculations and I know a few people on here would be able to do it.

Good luck to those who go for it. I will be spending some time at mates houses over the summer and taking a 50 50 cut for the use of their name.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Chris I am pleased your making a load off it. You should find that your next milestone will come around a lot quicker now.

Advertising 21.0/6.4 arb is very misleading. Fair enough claiming the place arb, because you advise laying that near the off.

Touche to that. Retirement is on the horizon.

Beltor win was laying 22.0 with no liquidity when tipped and was available with Hills Stan and Betvictor!! So no did not stand out like a sore thumb!

This was a call i had from a friend in a trading room whose trainer was lumping on…. #premium info lol

What is upsetting you guys the most??? Why is it pissing you off so much that we have made alot of people alot of money this week??

You guys cant deny that the info we have given isnt good stuff?? The one on Sunday i pointed out the traders had priced up a horse wrong again no arb or liquidity in the market went from 18/1 to 7/1!!

Like Chris points out none of you post the exact horse to back or the exact time to back it???

I think it was also @thebookieangel that pointed out the flaw with the sky not to place odds and people on the other thread are cleaning up??? Again #premiuminfo!

Busy out xmas shopping spending my hard earned winnings so will leave it to Tony and Dan. I shall await your tips tomorrow then … make sure you post them on here lads! Or better still post them to the twitter feed lol!!!

    Anyway #twga!!!!

Supert I think it is the attitude that is upsetting ppl. You should tone it down as I think you are alienating potential followers.

I think the twitter is a great idea. Why not. I think you can improve it. Put a blog behind it. Pin a post explaining ew arbs because it’s not very clear what your tactics are. I get it because I read it here first but otherwise I’d be lost. Keep a verifiable profit log.

Go advertise it. Do the leg work. Matt has done a lot of leg work to build up his site and his traffic. I’m a bit uneasy about you taking the lazy route and sponging off his hard work. A bit like a ford salesman hanging out in a Toyota garage trying to steal the customers at the door.

And Matt makes decent money off his tips, so I don’t think anyone has a problem if you go that route but probably more profitable to ask for donations and add affiliates or something and keep your service free to use. Starting charging will probably kill it.

Thanks for explaining WHY you tip these horses, that was what I was curious about.

I was not trying to suggest that you were simply pointing out arbs to the masses… I was genuinely curious as to your reasons for selecting certain horses. You have now explained that it is down to insider information.

You are certainly on a good run of things just now, with so many of your tips having come off handsomely – that kind of thing always looks good in the playground. I guess you will always be at the mercy of your contacts and the quality of their information, but at least you are a step ahead of the average Joe stumbling round in the dark trying to guess which horses odds will shorten (i.e me, so no, you will not see me tipping anything despite your sarcastic requests)

I am still not sure why you are choosing to share any of this information though, other than to lay the foundations to charge for your service, but that’s your business and good luck to you.

Let’s stop with the victim bollox now though, eh mate? You are clearly a clever fella and you clearly have access to information that can help to make you a decent wedge. You cannot blame people for pointing out that you have contradicted yourself in this thread and you are now starting to come across as a sore winner to boot.

Let’s not forget that you tried drumming up interest in your twitter page on this forum as if you had nothing to do with it, just something you “stumbled upon” iirc. Thats pretty shady imho, but enough is enough as this is a waste of time now, so good luck to you and your followers.

Wouldn’t have a chance of keeping paid subscriber’s happy. Less than a handful of people would be able to lay the win part straight away as advised. Liquidity won’t allow it.

Also you can’t continue to back 20/1 shots into 5/1, 18/1 shots into 7/1 and go unrestricted. So advertising that as premium info is poor form.

Ok thanks for you comments… lets draw a line in the sand and start again! Was just trying to make light hearted jokes!

Yes could def be improved i agree with that!! Until last week i had never even used twitter so am still trying to learn how this all works!

I work full time and quickly rush to put info on when 1) i find info or a place arb 2) i get calls from a network of people from indusry insiders or 3) i have personal knowledge about a particular horse trainer stable etc!

Beastys info has been great, at that time i was already doing ew arbing and yeah prob was being selfish trying to put people off however have since realised we are small fry compared to the whole industry and there is room for us all to cream off this!

Obviously some accounts do get restricted but there are numerous methods to prolong them… and there is also family close friends etc that you can recruit to multi acclunt with and also spreading your bets around … rather that £100ew with 1 bookie if 2 are top price better £50ew with each!
Sharbing is also the best way really and if you have 5 shops near go to different ones each different day rather than use same one!

As to the question about why advertise this info… well could actually play into our favor… if enough jump on a price that can move it downwards… the exchanges may feel people have got inside info and jump on the gamble to push the price down further???

Anyway for those people that have found twitter useful great if you dont like it fair enough use your own stratergies and good luck in making some extra tax free cash!

There does seem to be additional tactics most of the time now to take advantage of bad each way races. Original theory of ‘take a small ql on win part’ being replaced with arbs and gambles on price drops. Which is fair enough but the key parts are profit tactics in their own right, and also more stand out to bookies than the original trail of this approach

If we do have genuine access to traders on here can we not get definitive rather than speculative information on how to prolong accounts and avoid gubbings??? I’m sure that would be more valuable for the forum (no self interest stance)

Morning chaps. Love the post, I’m following with interest.

Beesty (or anyone else who knows) – I’ve seen your selections for today and think I understand why you’ve chosen them. Could you explain why you haven’t gone for the following:

    5.25 Chelmsford
    12.50 Warwick

? They seem to fit too, or am I missing something?

    beesty2016 3

@beaser 5:25 has 15 runners in it So no good for four places.

The 12:50 is a good one I ignored it because of the number of runners but can see dingo dollar at 6/6.2 and 2/1.9 for the place so yes add 12:50 to it.

Have to hope the place lay odds drop to about 1.5 though to get a decent profit from that horse and thats with £100 ew stakes.

Lough Derg Farmer may be one to keep an eye on too, 15.0 at Betstars (12.0 everywhere else) but not sure those place lay odds will come down in to good profit territory.

Took Lough Derg Farmer 15/15 at Betstars, £50 each way.

Hopefully the market favours him as expected and the place lay comes down.

    Already in profit now.

    Today’s schedule

    12:55? With enhanced place terms
2:05? With 365 enhanced place terms
    2:25
    5:35
    6:50?
    7:35
    8:05

The 2:25 looks like the best one today by far!
