Over/Underlaying

  • This has probably been covered before, but is there a handy guide somewhere to under/overlaying?

For example, how to use to take advantage of price boosts?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Google ‘trickybet calculator’ – it has settings that will work out the appropriate stakes depending on what you want to do

Do people have much success overlaying on qualifying bets? I.e the beaten by a length, or 2nd to SP favourite offers, I’m thinking of starting to overlay every time!

@Fowksee I have recently started doing some of these offers by using E/W bets, I loose a bit on the win side and make a bit on the place part (arb) and so end up around B/E. Pretty sure that if I do this a lot though I will quickly be gubbed, but it might be something to consider.

Interesting. Gonna play around bit this week and find a better way for sure.

Jay what I was meaning (tho I probably didn’t articulate it well!) Is overlaying so my lay bet would give me a profit, I’d do the big prices, sure if one wins I ‘lose’ money but only about the same as I would on a normal day doing the standard bets anyway. And the profit from the other horses losing negate that anyway.
