Paid for service/Oddsmatcher?

  • Hi everyone.

I am very new to match betting and so need some help, especially with an oddsmatcher and somewhere that will show me the offers available (reloads etc)

The thing is, I was thinking of joining one of the paid for ones, but it is hard to see what is the best value for money (on one group I was banned for asking questions about PA which wasn’t their own group, the woman is clearly now working for them and pushing them from her blog). It can be hard to tell as a lot of the people are maybe paid for or getting the service free.

I feel like I need a helping hand with things and obviously use this site (this site mentioned every detail about laying and made me realise I had done it wrong before).

I need an oddsmatcher too, which I believe is found on the paid for sites.

Thanks for any help in advance.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I use oddsmonkey which has a paid for oddsmatching service, however I think you can use the free version which has a 20 minute delay. that can be ok for slow moving sports like football but pretty useless for horses so it depends what you are doing and what sports you need to watch.

i signed up to the paid version of oddsmonkey for £15 a month, but I dont think it has been worth the money. I’ll be going back to the free version next month. I think especially for a newbie, the free version should do you just fine. You just need to register a username and email address.

I have the free version, but on the oddsmatcher it only has three bookies that you can use.

Does the paid for service have things to help if a bet is unmatched?

Sorry if any questions seem sill, as I say, I’m very new to this, just finding my way.

The free version has all the bookies listed, just has a 30 min delay on the prices.
It won’t help you re an unmatched bet. Basically, the price you layed the bet at did not have any money waiting to be matched. you can either wait for the bet to be matched, or cancel it and lay at the next available price, again provided there is enough liquidity there for the amount you need to lay.
Theres some useful guides on this site that will help you out.

I use the free version and find I can access odds for all the bookies, however, for some of them (SkyBet, Paddy Power, Stan James and 32Red from the ones I am signed up to) it only shows “match odds” markets.

I have also noticed that some of the bookies don’t display matches below 90% even if the default setting of 80% is used, when others go lower.

I am not sure whether this is the same for everyone who uses the free version?

The free version on oddsmonkey only has two Sky and Coral and then betfair.

What does that mean, match odd and winner, in the column you have just described?

I was only asking about an unmatched bet as I saw PA people say they have a calculator for that instance that tells you what to bet after it isn’t matched.

I don’t really understand what you mean.
if the lay bet is unmatched, you simply put the odds that are available into a calculator and lay that amount.
if you have some of stake matched and some not, you can use trickybet.com advanced calc to work out how much you need to lay at the different price. make sure you cancel the outstanding lay though otherwise it may get matched and you will overlay.

@Sparrow Have you created a free account and logged in? You should see all the bookies after you do that.

I rarely ever even use the free version anymore. If your looking for arbs on the horses hours in advance your prob gonna get gubbed I reckon. Several bookmakers are slow to keep up with the exchange in the few minutes leading up to races and that’s the best time to get on. Only prob you may have is not getting your lay matched if odds drift and race starts. That’s happened a few times to me lately but my overall profit doing it makes it worth the risk for me.

To be honest all our accounts gonna be gone sooner or later so my plan is to reduce time searching so I can put more on and not waste time, also don’t mind waiting just before they set off, also may lump on arts at the lesser known bookies, basically my plan after all signed offers and refunds then all out are to maximise what I can as like I say only a matter of time to be honest.

If your doing it close to the off I’m not sure you’ll have time to use a odds matcher.

Does the Soddsmatcher paid for service list casino offers as well?

Yep there’s casino and bingo offers , after taking the plunge today I’ve already reaped the monthly cost just by better arb opportunities and will for sure reduce qualifying losses so can pay for it self
