Why are the offers being withdrawn?
The Grand National Festival always brings a surge of new customers for bookmakers. Even people who wouldn’t usually bet will have a flutter. Running a free bet or bonus as a welcome offer during this time can be costly for a bookmaker, as many of those people won’t be interested in placing any more bets after the final race is complete.
As such, some bookmakers will temporarily withdraw or amend their welcome offer. During this time, check that a welcome offer is still running and as described on my website before creating an account.
Does this apply to all bookmakers?
No, some bookmakers will leave their welcome offer up. Always check that the offer is still running before signing up and that it hasn’t changed from the one described on my website.
Can we still do matched betting?
Yes, but take extra caution when claiming welcome offers. If you sign up when the offer isn’t running, you’ll have missed out on that offer. There are still plenty of reload offers to profit from.
When will the welcome offers return?
It varies from bookmaker to bookmaker. Some will return immediately after the final race. Others might return on Sunday.
For ease, you may want to stop claiming welcome offers and restart on Monday, when all offers should have returned.
