Joshua v Pulev Offer – Betfred

It’s Anthony Joshua v Kubrat Pulev on Saturday night and Betfred are getting in on the action! Simply place a £10.00+ pre-fight single bet on Joshua v Pulev and Betfred will give us a £5.00 free bet for every round with an official knockdown recorded. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £9.88 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • Minimum stake of £10.00.
  • Minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2).
  • Applies to bets placed from 09:00 on Friday 11th December 2020 until the fight starts (around 22:30) on Saturday 12th December 2020.
  • £5.00 free bet for every round with an official knockdown recorded.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’d like more information about qualifying bets and how they work, please see my qualifying bets guide.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Yes in the Will The Fight Go The Distance? market.

Either exchange works for this offer

Betfair and Smarkets are both great options for this offer. If you’ve not used one of them, now is a great time to give them a try.

  • Money back as cash up to £20
  • 0% commission for 60 days

At the time of writing, laying our bet at Betfair gives us the smallest qualifying loss.

Place £10.00 on ‘Will The Fight Go The Distance? – Yes’ @ 4.00 = Potential profit of £30.00

Betfair logo

Lay £8.03 on ‘Go The Distance? – Yes’ @ 5.00 = Potential liability of £32.12

Outcomes:

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

OutcomeBetfredBetfairProfit/Loss
Fight goes the distance+ £30.00– £32.12£2.12 loss
Fight doesn’t go the distance– £10.00+ £7.86£2.14 loss

So, no matter the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £2.14 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Free Bets:

We’ll receive a £5.00 free bet for every round with an official knockdown recorded. Free bets will be credited within 24 hours of qualifying bet settlement and will be valid until 09:00 on Monday 14th December 2020.

If three rounds have an official knockdown recorded, we’ll receive £15.00 in free bets. Using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to convert our free bets into 80% cash, so £12.00. If we take into account our minimum qualifying loss of £2.12, this gives us a potential profit of £9.88 on this Betfred offer!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with boxing, the odds are just 1.167 (1/6) for there to be at least one knockdown, so we’ll be unlucky not to at least make a small profit. The odds are 1.80 (4/5) and 2.875 (15/8) for there to be 2+ and 3+ knockdowns respectively. However, bear in mind that we need the knockdowns to occur in separate rounds to be eligible for each free bet.

* Joshua knocked Pulev down in Round 3 before securing a knockout in Round 9, resulting in a profit of £5.86 on this Betfred offer. *
