Ladbrokes Offer – Crolla v Burns

Anthony Crolla faces Ricky Burns tonight and you don’t want to miss this Ladbrokes offer! Simply bet £10.00+ pre-fight on Crolla v Burns and Ladbrokes will give us a £10.00 free in play bet to use on Lithuania v England tomorrow! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.64 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

To qualify for our £10.00 free in play bet, we must bet £10.00+ pre-fight on Crolla v Burns at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or greater. Qualifying bets must be placed between 06:00 on Friday 6th September 2017 and the start of the fight, which is scheduled to get underway at around 22:00 on Saturday 7th October 2017.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Anthony Crolla in the Fight Betting market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £9.33…

Ladbrokes logo

Place £10.00 on Anthony Crolla @ 1.40 = Potential profit of £4.00

Smarkets logo

Lay £9.33 on Anthony Crolla @ 1.52 = Potential liability of £4.85

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Crolla wins + £4.00 – £4.85 = £0.85 loss
Crolla doesn’t win – £10.00 + £9.14 (£9.33 minus 2% commission) = £0.86 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £0.86 in qualifying for our £10.00 free in play bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free bet will be credited at the start of Lithuania v England, which kicks off at 17:00 on Sunday 8th October 2017. The free bet must be used in play on the same game and will expire once the match has finished, if it has not been used.

It’s impossible to know what odds will be available until the match has kicked off but by using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% cash from the £10.00 free bet, so £7.50. If we take into account our maximum qualifying loss of £0.86, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.64 on this Ladbrokes offer!

Extracting profit from our free bets can be a little tricky when betting in play. One option is to wait until half-time, as the odds don’t fluctuate as much as when the game is live. If you place your free bet and then something happens in the game that changes the lay odds, it will affect your profit one way or the other.

Another option is to place it on 1-1, 2-1 or 3-1 whilst the score is at 0-0. By selecting a scoreline where both teams score, it reduces the risk of the odds fluctuating unfavourably.
