Betfair Stumps and Posts – Bet £50, Get £10

A great winter offer from Betfair.  Stake at least £25.00 matched Exchange bets (min odds of 1.5 per selection) on each of the following sporting events:  Perth Scorchers v Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash cricket league (starts 08:40 GMT) and Northampton Saints v Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership (starts 19:45) Friday 3rd January 2013 and get a free £10.00 bonus credited to your account.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of over £6.50.  And here’s how…

Step 1:

The terms and conditions state that our two qualifying bets must be at minimum odds of 1.5.

Qualifying bet 1:

Place £16.69 on Sydney Thunder @ Betfred @ 2.5 = Potential profit of £25.04.

Lay £17.61 on Sydney Thunder @ Betfair @ 2.42 = Potential liability of £25.01.

Qualifying bet 2:

Place £6.91 on Harlequins @ Bet365 @ 4.5 = Potential profit of £24.19

Lay £6.41 on Harlequins @ Betfair @ 4.9 = Potential liability of £25.00

Step 2:

Let’s have a look at our current potential profit/loss for the two matches…

Sydney Thunder +£25.04 – £25.01 = +£0.03
Sydney Thunder don’t win -£16.69 + £16.73 (£17.61 minus 5% commission) = +£0.04
Harlequins win +£24.19 – £25.00 = -£0.81
Harlequins don’t win -£6.91 + £6.09 (£6.41 minus 5% commission) = -£0.82

So regardless of the results, we will lose a maximum of £0.79 in order to claim our free £10.00 bonus credit, which gives us a minimum £9.21 profit on this offer.
