Betfred Ashes

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy for a walkthrough guide on how to place your qualifying bets.

To qualify for the £25.00 free bet, we must place an in play bet on 3 or more days of the 1st Test at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2).  It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bets on.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges. We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £2.00 on each of our 3 qualifying bets

So we will lose approximately £6.00 on our qualifying bets in order to claim our £25.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% of our £25.00 free bet as cash, so around £20.00.  If we take into consideration our qualifying loss of £6.00, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £14.00!

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% of the £25.00 free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.
