It’s Week 3 of the Premier League Darts 2017 and you don’t want to miss this Betway offer! Simply place a Win/Draw/Win bet on any match in the Betway Premier League, and if the player we back loses the first leg and wins the match, Betway will double our winnings as a free bet, up to £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £47.55 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:
The schedule for tonight (Thursday 16th February 2017) is as follows…
Start time | Fixture |
---|---|
19:20 | Gary Anderson v Peter Wright |
20:15 | Adrian Lewis v James Wade |
21:00 | Phil Taylor v Raymond van Barneveld |
21:50 | Michael van Gerwen v Jelle Klaasen |
22:40 | Dave Chisnall v Kim Huybrechts |
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
If our selection loses the first leg and goes on to win the match, Betway will double our winnings as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00.
In darts, the player who throws first in a leg has the advantage and is expected to win the leg. The player listed first in the above fixtures will throw first in the first leg.
It’s entirely up to you who you go for. Having looked at the odds available for Gary Anderson v Peter Wright, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Gary Anderson.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £23.75…
Place £25.00 on Gary Anderson @ 1.615 = Potential profit of £15.38
Lay £23.75 on Gary Anderson @ 1.72 = Potential liability of £17.10
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Anderson wins having won the first leg | + £15.38 – £17.10 = £1.72 loss |
Anderson wins having lost the first leg | + £15.38 – £17.10 + £12.30 (extract 80% from £15.38 free bet) = £10.58 profit |
Anderson doesn’t win | – £25.00 + £23.28 = £1.72 loss |
So, if Gary Anderson wins having lost the first leg, we’ll make a nice profit of £10.58. Any other outcome and we’ll make a small loss of £1.72. Risking £1.72 to make a profit of £10.58, gives us effective odds of 7.15, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
This offer is available on all five matches. It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on, but here’s what I’ll be going for…
Fixture | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Anderson v Wright | Anderson | 1.615 | 1.72 | £1.72 | £10.58 |
Lewis v Wade | Lewis | 2.30 | 2.38 | £1.12 | £18.88 |
Taylor v van Barneveld | – | – | – | – | – |
van Gerwen v Klaasen | – | – | – | – | – |
Chisnall v Huybrechts | Chisnall | 2.30 | 2.46 | £1.91 | £18.09 |
So, as you can see, we’ll lose £4.75 if none of our bets come in, but with £47.55 profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!
