Betway Offer – Premier League Darts 2017

It’s Week 2 of the Premier League Darts 2017 and you don’t want to miss this Betway offer! Simply place a Win/Draw/Win bet on any match in the Betway Premier League, and if the player we back loses the first leg and wins the match, Betway will double our winnings as a free bet, up to £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £54.68 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

The schedule for tonight (Thursday 9th February 2017) is as follows…

Start time Fixture
19:20 Adrian Lewis v Dave Chisnall
20:15 James Wade v Phil Taylor
21:00 Jelle Klaasen v Gary Anderson
21:50 Peter Wright v Michael van Gerwen
22:40 Kim Huybrechts v Raymond van Barneveld

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If our selection loses the first leg and goes on to win the match, Betway will double our winnings as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00.

In darts, the player who throws first in a leg has the advantage and is expected to win the leg. The player listed first in the above fixtures will throw first in the first leg.

It’s entirely up to you who you go for. It’s worth noting that in all but the first fixture, the favourite is throwing second, meaning there is a good chance they will lose the first leg.

Having looked at the odds available for Adrian Lewis v Dave Chisnall, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Dave Chisnall.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Dave Chisnall @ 2.75 = Potential profit of £43.75

smarkets whiteLay £24.04 on Dave Chisnall @ 2.88 = Potential liability of £45.19

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Chisnall wins having won the first leg + £43.75 – £45.19 = £1.44 loss
Chisnall wins having lost the first leg + £43.75 – £45.19 + £20.00 (extract 80% from £20.00 free bet) = £18.56 profit
Chisnall doesn’t win – £25.00 + £23.56 = £1.44 loss

So, if Dave Chisnall wins having lost the first leg, we’ll make a nice profit of £18.56. Any other outcome and we’ll have made a small loss of £1.44. Risking £1.44 to make a profit of £18.56, gives us effective odds of 13.89, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on all five matches. It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on, but here’s what I’ll be going for…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Lewis v Chisnall Chisnall 2.75 2.88 £1.44 £18.56
Wade v Taylor Taylor 1.727 1.85 £1.88 £12.66
Klaasen v Anderson Anderson 1.364 1.42 £1.13 £6.15
Wright v van Gerwen van Gerwen 1.364 1.42 £1.13 £6.15
Huybrechts v van Barneveld van Barneveld 1.667 1.81 £2.18 £11.16

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £7.76 if none of our bets come in, but with £54.68 profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

* Gary Anderson was the only player to win having lost the first leg, meaning I made a small overall loss of £0.48 on this Betway offer. *
