Qualifying bet
If you’d like more information about qualifying bets and how they work, please see my qualifying bets guide.
We should place our qualifying bet on either team to win as that will also qualify us for bet365’s 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer, where they’ll pay us out if our selected team goes two goals ahead, regardless of the final result. Early payout offers are well worth a look if you haven’t already!
At the time of writing, Belgium are available in the Full Time Result market at back odds of 2.45 (29/20). The lay odds are currently 2.56.

We can calculate our lay stake using the ‘Qualifying Bet‘ setting on my Matched Betting Calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £48.23…
Place £50.00 on Belgium @ 2.45 = Potential profit of £72.50
Lay £48.23 on Belgium @ 2.56 = Potential liability of £75.23
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
So, no matter if Belgium win, lose or draw, we’ll lose a maximum of £2.74 in qualifying for our £50.00 free bet.
Free bet
Our £50.00 free bet will only become available once the match starts and must be used in play. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
It’s impossible to know what odds will be available until the match has kicked off, but we should be aiming to convert our £50.00 free bet into around 75% cash, so £37.50.
If you’re unsure how to convert free bets into cash, please see my free bets guide for a walkthrough of how it should be done.
I’ll use back odds of 8.50 and lay odds of 9.80 for 2-1 Belgium in the following example to illustrate how things should pan out.
We can calculate our lay stake using the ‘Free Bet‘ setting on my Matched Betting Calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £38.34…
Place £50.00 on 2-1 Belgium @ 8.50 = Potential profit of £375.00
Lay £38.34 on 2-1 Belgium @ 9.80 = Potential liability of £337.39
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
So, with some decent odds, we’ll convert our £50.00 free bet into around £37.50 cash.
If we take into account our maximum qualifying loss of £2.74, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £34.76 on this bet365 offer!
* Belgium won the match 1-0, resulting in a profit of £34.77 on this bet365 offer. *

Guest userI’ve received the £50 for the first time – would you recommend putting the in play bet on at half time rather than as the game kicks off?
Matt
1486Half-time is ideal Archie as the odds fluctuate less. The downside though is that depending on the score, you may have less options. Another option if you’re comfortable with matched betting and watching the match live is to wait for a break in play, such as a player receiving treatment for an injury.
Mark
Guest userPresumably you only get these invite offers if you bet on B365 regularly – how often would you recommend using their site to try and become eligible for these offers? Thanks in advance.
Matt
1486There’s no way of knowing for sure what triggers the offers but it certainly seems to be relative to your betting activity. I would be inclined to place two or three bets on football each week starting at small stakes and gradually increase them. You could start at £10 the first week and increase them by £10 each week up to £50. It’s entirely up to you though…

33Mine was £25.

Guest userIts finally back! I might start using them again now, I was doing an informal protest and using other bookies because of their abysmal offers lately haha.
Archie
Guest userCheers Matt. I’m gonna risk the half time, if it means I lose out on a fiver when claiming that’s fine, too risky for me dealing with fluctuating odds with such a huge liability.
Matt
1486Yep, makes complete sense Archie. Good luck.
