BetBright Offer – Chelsea v Man City

Fresh from their Champions League exploits in midweek, Manchester City travel to Chelsea for the late kick-off today, and BetBright are running a great little in play offer. Simply bet £20.00 pre-match on Chelsea v Manchester City and BetBright will give us a £10.00 risk-free in play bet on the same game! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £39.38 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

This offer is only available on the BetBright app!

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on, as long as you place it at the minimum odds of 1.66 (4/6) or greater. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a Manchester City win.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.78…

Place £20.00 on Man City @ 2.65 = Potential profit of £33.00

Lay £19.78 on Man City @ 2.70 = Potential liability of £33.62

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Man City win + £33.00 – £33.62 = £0.62 loss
Man City don’t win – £20.00 + £19.38 = £0.62 loss

So, regardless of the result of match, we will lose £0.62 in qualifying for our £10.00 risk-free in play bet.

Risk-Free In Play Bet:

Our £10.00 risk-free in play bet needs to be placed at minimum odds of 1.66 (4/6) using our own funds. If our £10.00 in play bet loses, BetBright will refund our stake as a free bet within 1 hour of our in play bet settling. Free bets must be used by midnight on Sunday 17th April 2016.

It’s entirely up to you how you want to play this…

If you can find some decent odds in play (preferably at half-time), then it could be worth using the ‘Risk-Free Bet’ setting on my matched betting calculator to bank somewhere between £4.00-£5.00 guaranteed profit. If you’re unfamiliar with extracting profit from a risk-free bet, please see my Risk-Free Bet Strategy page.

However, I’m not so sure we’ll be able to find great in play odds, so I’ll be using this risk-free bet as a punt. If I hit a winner, happy days and if I don’t, I should be able to extract 80% out of the £10.00 free bet refund as cash. This means I stand to lose a maximum of £2.62, but I could win big.

If I were to place my £10.00 risk-free in play bet on a winning selection at odds of 5.00, I would have winnings of £40.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.62, this gives us a potential profit of £39.38 on this BetBright offer. I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual in play selection after the game.

* I actually placed my risk-free in play bet on Manchester City to win at odds 2.60 when the score was 0-0. Manchester City won the game 3-0, meaning I made a profit of £15.38 on this BetBright offer. *
