Liverpool host Dortmund on another special European night at Anfield tonight and BetBright are running another in play offer. Simply bet £20.00 pre-match via the BetBright app on Liverpool v Dortmund and BetBright will give us 2 x £10.00 free in play bets on the same game! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £14.28 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
This offer is only available on the BetBright app!
It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on, as long as you place it at the minimum odds of 1.66 (4/6) or greater. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a Dortmund win.
We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.67…
Place £20.00 on Dortmund @ 2.40 = Potential profit of £28.00
Lay £19.67 on Dortmund @ 2.46 = Potential liability of £28.72
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Dortmund win | + £28.00 – £28.72 = £0.72 loss |
Dortmund don’t win | – £20.00 + £19.28 = £0.72 loss |
So regardless of the result of match, we will lose £0.72 in qualifying for our 2 x £10.00 free in play bets.
Free In Play Bets:
Our 2 x £10.00 free in play bets will appear in our accounts within 10 minutes of the game kicking off and during half-time respectively.
It’s impossible to know what odds will be available until the match has kicked off but by using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% out of the 2 x £10.00 free bets as cash, so £15.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.72, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £14.28 on this BetBright offer!
Extracting profit from our free bets can be a little tricky when betting in play. My advice is to wait until half-time to place both of your free bets and then lay them at Smarkets. This is simply because the odds don’t fluctuate as much as when the game is live. There’s nothing worse than placing a free bet on a market and then something happens in the game that changes the odds before you have chance to get your lay bet on! I tend to look at the correct score markets first and then if I can’t find anything suitable I move onto goal scorer markets.
If you can’t wait until half-time, you might want to look at placing your first one on 1-1, 2-1 or 3-1 whilst the score is at 0-0. By selecting a scoreline where both teams score, it reduces the risk of the odds fluctuating unfavourably.
