Having looked at the odds available, I’ve decided to place my qualifying bet on Chelsea to win.
Place £20.00 on Chelsea @ 2.87 = Potential profit of £37.40
Lay £19.59 on Chelsea @ 2.98 = Potential liability of £38.79
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…
| Chelsea win | +£37.40 – £38.79 = £1.39 loss |
| Chelsea don’t win | -£20.00 + £18.61 (£19.59 minus 5% commission) = £1.39 loss |
So regardless of the outcome, we will lose £1.39 in order to claim our 6 x £5.00 free bets.
