Betsafe Offer – 10 Year Anniversary Free Bets

Betsafe are 10 years old this year and they’ve decided to celebrate with a belter of an offer! Simply bet £50.00 on a selected sport each day and Betsafe will give us a £25.00 free bet. We can then wager a further £100.00 via mobile on the same sport and Betsafe will give us a further £50.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £45.00-£55.00 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

This promotion runs from 23:01 (GMT) on Monday 21st March 2016 until 22:59 (GMT) on Saturday 26th March 2016. We’ve therefore missed the first few days, but there are a couple of free bets left to grab before the end of Week 4.

The remaining free bets available for Week 4 are as follows…

Date Required Action Total stake and free bet Total mobile stake and free bet
26th March Bet on ‘International Football’ £50.00 £100.00
Our Reward on ‘International Football’ £25.00 free bet £50.00 free bet

So, as you can see, if we bet £50.00 on International Football today, we will receive a £25.00 free bet. If we place a further bet of £100.00 via mobile on International Football, we will receive a further free bet of £50.00.

We must opt-in on the promotions page to be eligible for this offer. It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on, as long as you place them at the minimum odds of 2.00 (evens) or greater.

We must complete the first challenge of placing a £50.00 bet before we are eligible for the second challenge on Mobile. Qualifying bets for the ‘Daily Challenges’ need to be placed the same day. This also applies to the free bets.

Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my £150.00 in qualifying bets (£50.00 first and then £100.00 via mobile) on Germany v England being a draw.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £147.06…

Place £150.00 on a draw @ 4.00 = Potential profit of £450.00

smarkets white

Lay £147.06 on a draw @ 4.10 = Potential liability of £455.88

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…

Draw + £450.00 – £455.88 = £5.88 loss
Not a draw – £150.00 + £144.12 = £5.88 loss

So, regardless of the result of the match, we’ll lose £5.88 in qualifying for our £75.00 (£25.00 + £50.00) in free bets.

Free Bets:

Our free bets will be credited instantly upon placement of our qualifying bets and must be used the same day on the specified sport for that day. When we place our free bets, we must check the “(FB amount) Free Bet” box on our betslip.

The free bet stake is not returned with any winnings. Before we are able to withdraw our money, any winnings must be wagered once at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater, within 7 days after having been credited, otherwise they will be forfeited.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% of our £75.00 in free bets as cash, so £60.00.

Our overall profit figure will be dependent on whether our free bets win or lose. It’s unlikely that our free bets will win as we will be placing them at long odds, but if they do, we will lose a little bit more whilst rolling over. Taking this and our qualifying loss of £5.88 into account, we should make a guaranteed profit of £45.00-£55.00 on this Betsafe offer.

* My £50.00 free bet lost, but my £25.00 free bet won, meaning I had to rollover my winnings. I therefore made an overall profit of £49.73 on this Betsafe offer. *
