Betsafe Offer – Chelsea v Man City

Betsafe have gone all in on Manchester City this season and their in play offer continues this weekend! Simply place a £25.00 pre-match bet on any Premier League match and Betsafe will give us a £10.00 free bet to be used in play on Chelsea v Manchester City. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.00-£6.50 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on, as long as you place it at the minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or above.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £1.00 on your qualifying bet

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free bet must be used in play on Chelsea v Manchester City, which kicks off at 17:30 on Saturday 16th April 2016. When we place our free in play bet, we must check the “(FB amount) Free Bet” box on our betslip.

It’s impossible to know what odds will be available until the match has kicked off but by using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% out of the £10.00 free bet as cash, so £7.50.

The majority of the time, our free in play bet will lose. If, however, our free in play bet wins, we will need to rollover our winnings once (at odds of 1.50 or above) before we’re able to withdraw. Using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 95% of any winnings as cash. With that in mind and with our qualifying loss taken into account, we should make a guaranteed profit of £5.00-£6.50 on this Betsafe offer. I’ll update the post with my actual profit after the game.

Extracting profit from our free bets can be a little tricky when betting in play. My advice is to wait until half-time to place your free bets and then lay them at Smarkets. This is simply because the odds don’t fluctuate as much as when the game is live. There’s nothing worse than placing a free bet on a market and then something happens in the game that changes the odds before you have chance to get your lay bet on!
