Betsafe Offer – Euro 2016 1st Round Free Bet

Euro 2016 gets underway on Friday and you don’t want to miss this Betsafe offer on the 1st Round action! Simply place a £25.00 bet on the 1st round match of your choice and Betsafe will give us a £10.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.00-£7.12 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets can be placed on any 1st Round match but they must be placed before 19:59 (BST) on Friday 10th June 2016, to be eligible.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on, as long as you place it at the minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on England beating Russia.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £24.61…

Place £25.00 on England @ 1.90 = Potential profit of £22.50

Lay £24.61 on England @ 1.95 = Potential liability of £23.38

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

England win + £22.50 – £23.38 = £0.88 loss
England don’t win – £25.00 + £24.12 = £0.88 loss

So, regardless of the result of the match, we will lose £0.88 in qualifying for our £10.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

Our free bet has to be placed at once, as a single bet/transaction at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater. When we place our free bet, we must tick the free bet box found on our betslip.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% out of the £10.00 free bet as cash, so £8.00.

The majority of the time, our free bet will lose. If, however, our free bet wins, we will need to rollover our winnings once (at odds of 1.50 or above) within 7 days, before we’re able to withdraw.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 95% of any winnings as cash. With that in mind and with our qualifying loss taken into account, we should make a guaranteed profit of £5.00-£7.12 on this Betsafe offer. I’ll update the post with my actual profit after the games have been played.
