The Europa League Quarter-Finals conclude tonight and the BetStars money-back special continues! Place a pre-match bet on any of tonight’s Europa League fixtures and if the match ends in a draw, BetStars will refund losing Match Result & Both Teams To Score, First/Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Half-Time/Full-Time bets as a free bet up to a maximum of £25.00 per match. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £67.00 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
We need to place our qualifying bets on selections that don’t see the games resulting in a draw. This ensures that if the match is drawn, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.
Tonight’s eligible matches are as follows…
Fixture | Kick-off | Date |
---|---|---|
Sevilla v Athletic Bilbao | 20:05 | Thursday 14th April 2016 |
Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund | 20:05 | Thursday 14th April 2016 |
Sparta Prague v Villareal | 20:05 | Thursday 14th April 2016 |
Shakhtar Donetsk v Sporting Braga | 20:05 | Thursday 14th April 2016 |
It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on. Having looked at the odds available for the Sevilla v Athletic Bilbao game, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Sevilla/Sevilla in the Half-time/Full-time market.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £22.19…
Place £25.00 on Sevilla/Sevilla @ 3.40 = Potential profit of £60.00
Lay £22.19 on Sevilla/Sevilla @ 3.85 = Potential liability of £63.25
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Sevilla/Sevilla | + £60.00 – £63.25 = £3.25 loss |
Not Sevilla/Sevilla and game drawn | – £25.00 + £21.75 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £16.75 profit |
Not Sevilla/Sevilla and game not drawn | – £25.00 + £21.75 = £3.25 loss |
So, if the match is a draw, we will make a nice profit of £16.75. Any other outcome and we’ll have lost £3.25. Risking £3.25 to make a profit of £16.75, gives us effective odds of 6.15, so given the fact that the odds of a draw are only 3.60, this is a very profitable offer over time.
This offer is available on all four Europa League matches tonight, giving us a potential overall profit of £67.00 on this BetStars offer. I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual profit/loss after the matches have been played.
Free bets will be credited within 48 hours of the matches ending and will expire after 7 days. If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £25.00 free bets, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
NOTE: I’ve opted to keep things simple for this blog post and let it run as above, but there is an option to make this offer risk-free by placing an extra lay bet on the draw at Smarkets. If you want to make it risk-free, you can divide your potential loss of £3.25 by 0.98 to give you a lay stake of £3.32. At the time of writing, the draw lay odds are 3.75, giving you a risk-free shot at £7.62. There is also the option to lay a larger amount to give you a guaranteed profit regardless of the outcome.
* My total qualifying loss for this offer was £13.52. Unfortunately, none of the four matches were drawn, meaning I made a loss of £13.52 on this BetStars offer. *
