BetStars Offer – Liverpool v Sevilla

It’s the Europa League Final tonight and you don’t want to miss this BetStars offer! Place a pre-match bet on Liverpool v Sevilla and if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, BetStars will refund losing First/Last/Anytime Goalscorer, Correct Score and Half-Time/Full-Time bets as a free bet up to a maximum of £20.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £6.95 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

We need to place our qualifying bet on a selection that doesn’t see the game resulting in a draw. This ensures that if the match is drawn, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Liverpool/Liverpool in the Half-time/Full-time market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £20.00 on Liverpool/Liverpool @ 3.90 = Potential profit of £58.00

smarkets whiteLay £17.81 on Liverpool/Liverpool @ 4.40 = Potential liability of £60.55

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Liverpool/Liverpool + £58.00 – £60.55 = £2.55 loss
Not Liverpool/Liverpool and game drawn – £20.00 + £17.45 + £16.00 (extract 80% from our £20.00 free bet) = £13.45 profit
Not Liverpool/Liverpool and game not drawn – £20.00 + £17.45 = £2.55 loss

So, as things stand, if the match is a draw after 90 minutes, we will make a nice profit of £13.45. Any other outcome and we’ll have lost £2.55. By placing an extra lay bet on the match being a draw, we can make this offer risk-free. To calculate the correct lay stake, we just need to divide our potential loss of £2.55 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% commission), which gives us a lay stake of £2.60…

smarkets white

Lay £2.60 on a draw @ 3.50 = Potential liability of £6.50

Let’s have a look at our overall potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Liverpool/Liverpool – £2.55 + £2.55 = £0.00
Not Liverpool/Liverpool and game drawn + £13.45 – £6.50 = £6.95 profit
Not Liverpool/Liverpool and game not drawn – £2.55 + £2.55 = £0.00

So, if the game isn’t a draw after 90 minutes, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if the game is a draw after 90 minutes, we’ll have made a risk-free profit of £6.95!

Our free bet will be credited within 48 hours of the match ending and will expire after 7 days. If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £20.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
