It’s Week 18 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on selected Premier League games during the festive period, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £250.08 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:

We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. The maximum stake for this offer is £25.00 and the maximum free bet is £500.00.
Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.
Having looked at the odds available for Watford v Crystal Palace, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Watford in the Match Betting market.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £24.41…
Place £25.00 on a draw @ 2.50 = Potential profit of £37.50
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Watford win and crossbar not struck | + £37.50 – £38.57 = £1.07 loss |
Watford win and crossbar struck | + £37.50 – £38.57 + £30.00 (extract 80% from £37.50 free bet) = £28.93 profit |
Watford don’t win | – £25.00 + £23.93 = £1.07 loss |
So, if Watford win and the crossbar is struck, we’ll make a nice profit of £28.93. If, however, Watford don’t win or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.07. Risking £1.07 to make a profit of £28.93, gives us effective odds of 28.04, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
This offer is available on all six specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for. I’ll update the following table with my selections throughout the week…
Fixture | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Watford v Crystal Palace | Watford | 2.50 | 2.58 | £1.07 | £28.93 |
Southampton v Tottenham | Tottenham | 2.70 | 2.74 | £0.68 | £33.32 |
Hull City v Everton | Draw | 3.50 | 3.60 | £1.05 | £48.95 |
Liverpool v Man City | Draw | 3.60 | 3.65 | £0.70 | £51.30 |
Watford v Tottenham | Tottenham | 1.615 | 1.63 | £0.42 | £11.88 |
Middlesbrough v Leicester City | Draw | 3.10 | 3.20 | £1.12 | £40.88 |
Tottenham v Chelsea | Tottenham | 2.80 | 2.90 | £1.18 | £34.82 |
So, as you can see, we’ll lose £6.22 if none of our bets come in, but with £250.08 profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!
