It’s Week 2 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on selected Premier League games this weekend, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund losing stakes on all pre-match markets as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £113.85 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:
This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…

Leicester City v Arsenal | 17:30 | Saturday 20th August 2016 |
Sunderland v Middlesbrough | 13:30 | Sunday 21st August 2016 |

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund all losing bets on all pre-match markets for that particular match. Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.
Having looked at the odds available for Manchester United v Southampton, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a Southampton win.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £23.50…
Place £25.00 on Southampton @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £162.50
Lay £23.50 on Southampton @ 8.00 = Potential liability of £164.47
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Southampton win | + £162.50 – £164.47 = £1.97 loss |
Southampton don’t win and crossbar struck | – £25.00 + £23.03 + £20.00 (extract 80% from stake refund) = £18.03 profit |
Southampton don’t win and crossbar not struck | – £25.00 + £23.03 = £1.97 loss |
So, if Southampton don’t win and the crossbar is struck, we will make a nice profit of £18.03. If Southampton do win or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.97. Risking £1.97 to make a profit of £18.03, gives us effective odds of 10.15, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
This offer is available on all six specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for, but here’s what I’ll be going for…
Fixture | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Man Utd v Southampton | Southampton | 7.50 | 8.00 | £1.97 | £18.03 |
Stoke City v Man City | Draw | 3.80 | 4.00 | £1.61 | £18.39 |
Burnley v Liverpool | Liverpool | 1.60 | 1.61 | £0.35 | £19.65 |
Leicester City v Arsenal | Arsenal | 2.50 | 2.56 | £0.89 | £19.11 |
Sunderland v Middlesbrough | Draw | 3.30 | 3.30 | £0.35 | £19.65 |
West Ham v Bournemouth | Bournemouth | 4.00 | 4.10 | £0.98 | £19.02 |
So, as you can see, we’ll lose £6.15 if we don’t hit any winners, but with £113.85 in potential profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!
