BoyleSports Offer – Premier League Crossbar Money Back

It’s Week 7 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on selected Premier League games this weekend, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund losing stakes on all pre-match markets as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £96.90 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
Swansea v Liverpool 12:30 Saturday 1st October 2016
Hull City v Chelsea 15:00 Saturday 1st October 2016
Man Utd v Stoke City 12:00 Sunday 2nd October 2016
Tottenham v Man City 14:15 Sunday 2nd October 2016
Burnley v Arsenal 16:30 Sunday 2nd October 2016

We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund all losing bets on all pre-match markets for that particular match. Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.

Having looked at the odds available for Swansea City v Liverpool, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Liverpool in the Match Betting market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Liverpool @ 1.444 = Potential profit of £11.10

smarkets whiteLay £25.07 on Liverpool @ 1.46 = Potential liability of £11.53

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Liverpool win + £11.10 – £11.53 = £0.43 loss
Liverpool don’t win and crossbar struck – £25.00 + £24.57 + £20.00 (extract 80% from stake refund) = £19.57 profit
Liverpool don’t win and crossbar not struck – £25.00 + £24.57 = £0.43 loss

So, if Liverpool don’t win and the crossbar is struck, we will make a nice profit of £19.57. If, however, Liverpool do win or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £0.43. Risking £0.43 to make a profit of £19.57, gives us effective odds of 46.51, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a very profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on all five specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for, but here’s what I’ll be going for…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Swansea v Liverpool Liverpool 1.444 1.46 £0.43 £19.57
Hull City v Chelsea Chelsea 1.50 1.52 £0.50 £19.50
Man Utd v Stoke City Man Utd 1.333 1.35 £0.44 £19.56
Tottenham v Man City Man City 2.45 2.48 £0.60 £19.40
Burnley v Arsenal Arsenal 1.364 1.42 £1.13 £18.87

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £3.10 if we don’t hit any winners, but with £96.90 in potential profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

* The crossbar was struck in Manchester United 1-1 Stoke City and Burnley 0-1 Arsenal. I therefore made a profit of £16.90 on this BoyleSports offer. *
