BoyleSports Offer – Premier League Crossbar Money Back

It’s Week 9 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on selected Premier League games this weekend, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund losing stakes on all pre-match markets as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £96.41 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
Bournemouth v Tottenham 12:30 Saturday 22nd October 2016
Leicester City v Crystal Palace 15:00 Saturday 22nd October 2016
Liverpool v West Brom 17:30 Saturday 22nd October 2016
Man City v Southampton 13:30 Sunday 23rd October 2016
Chelsea v Man Utd 16:00 Sunday 23rd October 2016

We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund all losing bets on all pre-match markets for that particular match. Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.

Having looked at the odds available for Bournemouth v Tottenham, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a draw in the Match Betting market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £24.13…

Place £25.00 on a draw @ 3.60 = Potential profit of £65.00

smarkets whiteLay £24.13 on a draw @ 3.75 = Potential liability of £66.35

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Draw + £65.00 – £66.35 = £1.35 loss
Not a draw and crossbar struck – £25.00 + £23.65 + £20.00 (extract 80% from stake refund) = £18.65 profit
Not a draw and crossbar not struck – £25.00 + £23.65 = £1.35 loss

So, if the game isn’t drawn and the crossbar is struck, we will make a nice profit of £18.65. If, however, the game is drawn or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.35. Risking £1.35 to make a profit of £18.65, gives us effective odds of 14.81, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run, even though we need either team to win.

This offer is available on all five specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for. I’ll update the following table with my selections throughout the weekend…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Bournemouth v Tottenham Draw 3.60 3.75 £1.35 £18.65
Leicester v Crystal Palace Leicester 2.05 2.10 £0.85 £19.15
Liverpool v West Brom Liverpool 1.29 1.30 £0.31 £19.69
Man City v Southampton Man City 1.50 1.49 £0.00 £20.00
Chelsea v Man Utd Draw 3.30 3.40 £1.08 £18.92

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £3.59 if we don’t hit any winners, but with £96.41 in potential profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% cash from a £25.00 free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

* The crossbar was struck in Bournemouth v Tottenham and also Leicester City v Crystal Palace. *
