BoyleSports Offer – World Cup 2018 Qualifiers

The World Cup 2018 Qualifiers resume this week and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on any match featuring the home nations, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund losing stakes on all pre-match markets as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £134.82 and here’s how…

We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will refund all losing bets on all pre-match markets for that particular match. Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.

Having looked at the odds available for Austria v Wales, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Austria in the Match Betting market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Austria @ 2.30 = Potential profit of £32.50

smarkets whiteLay £24.16 on Austria @ 2.40 = Potential liability of £33.82

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Austria win + £32.50 – £33.82 = £1.32 loss
Austria don’t win and crossbar struck – £25.00 + £23.68 + £20.00 (extract 80% from stake refund) = £18.68 profit
Austria don’t win and crossbar not struck – £25.00 + £23.68 = £1.32 loss

So, if Austria don’t win and the crossbar is struck, we will make a nice profit of £18.68. If, however, Austria do win or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.32. Risking £1.32 to make a profit of £18.68, gives us effective odds of 15.15, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on all ten specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for. I’ll update the following table with my selections throughout the week…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Republic of Ireland v Georgia Republic of Ireland 1.40 1.43 £0.67 £19.33
Austria v Wales Austria 2.30 2.40 £1.32 £18.68
England v Malta
Scotland v Lithuania Scotland 1.444 1.49 £0.93 £19.07
Northern Ireland v San Marino
Wales v Georgia Wales 1.30 1.32 £0.50 £19.50
Moldova v Republic of Ireland Republic of Ireland 1.40 1.42 £0.50 £19.50
Slovenia v England England 1.667 1.67 £0.25 £19.75
Slovakia v Scotland Scotland 3.75 3.85 £1.01 £18.99
Germany v Northern Ireland

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £5.18 if we don’t hit any winners, but with £134.82 in potential profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

* The crossbar was struck in Republic of Ireland v Georgia, Wales v Georgia and Slovenia v England, meaning I made an overall profit of £34.82 on this BoyleSports offer. *
