August 10, 2017 / Football / 12 Comments

Event Start Time (GMT): 11/08/2017 : 19:45

Guaranteed profit
£30.00

Premier League football returns on Friday and Coral are leading the way with a fantastic risk-free offer on the five televised games this weekend! Simply place a £10.00+ in play bet and if it loses, Coral will refund our stake as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of around £30.00 and here’s how…

Coral Offer - Premier League 2017/18 (Week 1)

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unsure about how to place risk-free bets, check out my Risk-Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Qualifying bets of £10.00+ must be placed in play on the following matches this weekend…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
Arsenal v Leicester 19:45 Friday 11th August 2017
Watford v Liverpool 12:30 Saturday 12th August 2017
Brighton v Man City 17:30 Saturday 12th August 2017
Newcastle v Tottenham 13:30 Sunday 13th August 2017
Man Utd v West Ham 16:00 Sunday 13th August 2017

Losing stakes are refunded as an in play free bet, so this is effectively a risk-free offer. We’ll therefore need to make selections with long odds such as Correct Scores.

It’s impossible to know what odds will be available until the matches kick off, but I’ve used 2-1 Arsenal in the following example to give you an idea of how things might pan out.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can work out our lay stake by using the ‘Risk-Free Bet’ setting on my matched betting calculator. We can enter £8.00 as our ‘Cashback’ figure as this is the amount we can expect to extract (80%) from our £10.00 free bet refund, should our qualifying bet lose…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £8.20…

Place £10.00 on 2-1 Arsenal @ 8.00 = Potential profit of £70.00

smarkets white

Lay £8.20 on 2-1 Arsenal @ 8.80 = Potential liability of £63.96

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

2-1 Arsenal + £70.00 – £63.96 = £6.04 profit
Not 2-1 Arsenal - £10.00 + £8.03 + £8.00 (extract 80% from our £10.00 free bet) = £6.03 profit

So, provided we can find some decent odds in play, we should make a guaranteed profit of around £6.00 on each of the five matches, giving us an overall guaranteed profit of £30.00 on this Coral offer!

If any of our selections lose, our free bet will be credited within 24 hours and can be used on any in play football market. Free bets will be valid for 48 hours and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% cash from a £10.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Is this not bets placed during play?

Was very lucky with this. Accidentally placed a 2-2 half time score instead of full time and decided to let it run its course. £100 profit straight away.

Tried to do this one as well as Ladbrokes in play during halftime Arsenal Leicester. Smarkets was down for 20 mins straight so couldn't lay and therefore missed out on the offers. I've never experienced smarkets being offline for that amount of time. Did anyone else experience this or know any way round this problem should it happen again?

Was down for me too, used Betfair instead and took the 5% com hit to get the offer done, got £6 out of it.

You do have to 'opt in' for the 2% offer. Offer seems to appear each time you log in

There is also Betdaq and I think Matchbook? I have Betdaq (crap odds and commission of 5% since ladbrokes took it over) but all these exchanges are essential as back up as I've had both Betfair and Smarkets go down on me. The other important thing to know (or google) is who is tied up to who, ie which companies own multiple bookmakers/exchanges to help with inevitable gubbings

I managed to get my MBs on Smarkets, with profitable success, just kept reloading the website. Smarkets have now emailed me apologying for the problems, and now have 0% comission on all bets until midnight sunday and are refunding any comission paid on bets last night.

Can you do all 5 games or just 1 - the T&Cs are a little vague. "Place an in-play single of at least £/€10 on any market in one of the listed matches."

The banner states that there is 'Up to £50.00 in free bets available' so we should be fine Paul.
