There are two big rugby union finals on Saturday and you don’t want to miss this Coral offer. Simply place a £5.00+ win single on a team to win their selected match in the 80 minute Match Betting market and if one of the named players scores the first try, Coral will double our winnings on that respective match up to £100.00, in free bets! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £150.00+ and here’s how…
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
Qualifying bets must be placed between 06:00 on Friday 26th May 2017 and kick-off of each respective match, to be eligible.
To qualify, we must place a £5.00+ Single bet on the 80 minute win-draw-win market. If one of the following named players scores the first try, Coral will double our winnings in free bets…
Fixture | Kick-Off | Named Players |
---|---|---|
Wasps v Exeter | 14:30 | Christian Wade or Jack Nowell |
Munster v Scarlets | 18:15 | Keith Earls or Liam Williams |
Example:
- Bet £25.00 on Exeter to beat Wasps in the 80 minute Match Betting market (£25.00 placed at Evens).
- Exeter win the match in 80 minutes with Jack Nowell scoring the first try.
- Our bet on Exeter has won, returning £50.00 (£25.00 stake and £25.00 winnings).
- Within 24 hours of bet settlement, Coral will credit our account with a free bet, matching our winnings (£25.00 in this example).
The maximum free bet is £100.00 per customer and this will be credited within 24 hours of our bet being settled. Free bets will be valid for 4 days and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
It’s entirely up to you which teams you go for. Having looked at the odds available for Wasps v Exeter, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Wasps.
In order to work out our back stake, we need to divide £100.00 by 1.20 (back odds minus 1.00). This gives us a back stake of £83.33. It’s best that we stick to round numbers when placing our qualifying bet, so I’ll stake £80.00 instead.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £80.00…
Place £80.00 on Wasps @ 2.20 = Potential profit of £96.00
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Wasps win the match and a named player doesn’t score the first try | + £96.00 – £97.60 = £1.60 loss |
Wasps win the match and a named player scores the first try | + £96.00 – £97.60 + £76.80 (80% extracted from £96.00 free bet) = £75.20 profit |
Wasps don’t win the match | – £80.00 + £78.40 = £1.60 loss |
So, if Wasps win the match and either Christian Wade or Jack Nowell scores the first try, we’ll make a nice profit of £75.20. Any other outcome and we’ll lose £1.60. Risking £1.60 to make a profit of £75.20, gives us effective odds of 48.00, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
This offer is available on both matches. At the time of writing, the odds aren’t great for Munster v Scarlets, but I’ll update the following table with my actual bets once the matches have been played…
Fixture | Selection | Stake | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Wasps v Exeter | Wasps | £80.00 | 2.20 | 2.22 | £1.60 | £75.20 |
Munster v Scarlets | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a |
