It’s Everton v Tottenham in the FA Cup 5th Round on Wednesday night and Betfred are getting in on the action! Simply place a £5.00+ PickYourPunt Builder bet on Everton v Tottenham and if it loses, Betfred will give us a £5.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £17.50 and here’s how…
Key terms
- Applies to our first losing £5.00+ PickYourPunt Builder market bet on Everton v Tottenham that has been built and wagered between 17:00 on Tuesday 9th February 2021 and 20:15 (kick-off) on Wednesday 10th February 2021.
- We must build our own bet with Betfred’s PickYourPunt Builder which can be launched via the #PickYourPunt tab on Everton v Tottenham.
- Following our first losing bet, Betfred will give us a £5.00 free bet.
Qualifying bet
It’s not always possible to lay our PickYourPunt selections, so this should be treated as a speculative offer. If our bet loses, we know that by using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to convert our £5.00 free bet into 80% cash, so £4.00. That means the most we can lose on this offer is £1.00 and we could win big!
It’s entirely up to you which PickYourPunt selections you go for.
Having looked at the selections available, we could place our qualifying bet on Everton win / Both teams to score – Yes at odds of 4.50 (7/2).
Free bet
If eligible, our £5.00 free bet will be credited by 12:00 on Thursday 11th February 2021 and will be valid until 09:00 on Sunday 14th February 2021.
The above selection gives us a potential profit of £17.50, meaning we would only need to win 1 in every 18 bets to break even. It really is too good an offer to miss!
* The match was drawn 4-4 (after 90 minutes), resulting in a loss of £1.00 on this Betfred offer. *

Guest userHi Matt,
Thanks for all your great content but this one has me a little confused.
Where does that potential profit come from? The way I look at this if we don’t lay our pick a punt and then we lose that, we lose one pound, if we do lay it, we make small qualifying loss plus the £4 from the free bet which is only going to be £3 something, am I missing something?
Thanks again.
Matt
1546Hi Callum, you’re welcome!
The potential profit of £17.50 comes from placing a £5.00 PickYourPunt bet on Everton win / Both teams to score – Yes at odds of 4.50 (7/2). By not laying it, we make a profit of £17.50 if the bet wins or we lose £1.00 if it loses (after converting our £5.00 free bet into £4.00 cash).
Hope that helps.
