| Man Utd don’t win | – £10.00 + £9.46 (£9.96 minus 5% commission) = £0.54 loss |
So, if Man Utd win, we’ll have made a profit of £3.23. If Man Utd don’t win, we’ll have made a loss of £0.54. Risking £0.54 to make a profit of £3.23 gives us effective odds of 6.98. So, given that Man Utd are odds of 2.80 to win the match, this a profitable offer in the long run.
