Ladbrokes Offer – Manchester United v Liverpool

Another big Premier League match brings another Ladbrokes offer not to be missed. If both teams score in the game between Manchester United and Liverpool, Ladbrokes will refund losing Match Odds (WDW), Correct Score, First Goalscorer and Half Time/Full Time bets up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed minimum profit of £6.51 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Whenever I do these type of offers, I always stick to the correct score market. We need to select a scoreline that sees someone keeping a clean sheet. This ensures that if both teams score, we will automatically qualify for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost. At the time of writing, the lay odds are pretty poor, so I’ll use fictional odds in the following example and I’ll update the bottom of this blog post with my actual selections after the match.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges. We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.

Place £25.00 on 0-0 draw @ 9.50 = Potential profit of £212.50

smarkets whiteLay £21.63 on 0-0 draw @ 11.00 = Potential liability of £216.30

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the three outcomes…

0-0 draw +£212.50 – £216.30 = £3.80 loss
Not 0-0 draw and both teams score -£25.00 + £21.20 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £16.20 profit
Not 0-0 draw and someone keeps a clean sheet -£25.00 + £21.20 = £3.80 loss

As things stand, if both teams score, we will make a profit of £16.20, but we’ll lose £3.80 on any other outcome. By placing another lay bet on both teams to score, we can guarantee ourselves a profit on any outcome.

Lay £10.53 on Both Teams to Score @ 1.92 = Potential liability of £9.69

Let’s have a look at our overall profit/loss for the three outcomes…

0-0 draw -£3.80 + £10.32 = £6.52 profit
Not 0-0 draw and both teams score £16.20 – £9.69 = £6.51 profit
Not 0-0 draw and someone keeps a clean sheet -£3.80 + £10.32 = £6.52 profit

So regardless of the result of the match, we will make a guaranteed minimum profit of £6.51 on this offer.

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £25.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
