Man City v Chelsea Offer – Unibet

It’s Man City v Chelsea at the Etihad today and Unibet are getting in on the action! Simply place a £10.00+ pre-match bet on Man City or Chelsea to win and if our chosen team wins, Unibet will give us a £5.00 free bet! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £3.31 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

To qualify, we must place a pre-match bet of £10.00+ on either Man City or Chelsea to win.

It’s entirely up to you which team you go for. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Man City.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Betfair as they have great liquidity and the site is really easy to use. Also, if we opt in, they are charging just 2% commission on Premier League Match Odds bets in March 2018.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £9.75…

Unibet logo

Place £10.00 on Man City @ 1.55 = Potential profit of £5.50

Betfair logo

Lay £9.75 on Man City @ 1.61 = Potential liability of £5.94

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Man City win + £5.50 – £5.94 + £3.75 (extract 75% from £5.00 free bet) = £3.31 profit
Man City don’t win – £10.00 + £9.55 (£9.63 minus 2% commission) = £0.45 loss

So, if Man City win, we’ll have made a profit of £3.31. If Man City don’t win, we’ll have made a loss of £0.45. Risking £0.45 to make a profit of £3.31 gives us effective odds of 8.36. So, given that Man City are odds of 1.55 to win the match, this a profitable offer in the long run.

If eligible, our £5.00 free bet will be credited on Monday 5th March 2018. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

If you’re not sure how to extract 75% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

* Man City won the match 1-0, resulting in a profit of £3.31 on this Unibet offer. *
