MintBet Offer – Arsenal v Chelsea

Arsenal face Chelsea in the Community Shield 2017/18 this afternoon and you don’t want to miss this MintBet offer! Simply place a Match Result bet on Arsenal v Chelsea and if our team gets a red card and loses the match, MintBet will refund our stake as a free bet, up to £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £19.65 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

We need to place our qualifying bet on Arsenal or Chelsea in the Match Result (1X2) market. If our selected team gets a red card card and loses the match, MintBet will refund our stake as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25.00.

It’s entirely up to you which team you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Chelsea.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Chelsea @ 2.375 = Potential profit of £34.38

smarkets white

Lay £25.16 on Chelsea @ 2.38 = Potential liability of £34.72

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Chelsea win + £34.38 – £34.72 = £0.34 loss
Draw – £25.00 + £24.65 = £0.35 loss
Chelsea lose and receive red card – £25.00 + £24.65 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £19.65 profit
Chelsea lose and no red card received – £25.00 + £24.65 = £0.35 loss

So, if Chelsea receive a red card and lose the match, we’ll make a profit of £19.65. Any other outcome and we’ll lose a maximum of £0.35. Risking £0.35 to make a profit of £19.65, gives us effective odds of 57.14, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.

If eligible, free bets will be credited within 24 hours and will be valid for 7 days. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

* Chelsea received a red card but unfortunately the game was drawn 1-1 after 90 minutes, meaning I made a loss of £0.35 on this MintBet offer. *
