It’s Newcastle v Liverpool in Saturday’s late kick-off and you don’t want to miss this William Hill Scratch of the Day offer! Place a £10.00 pre-match bet on Newcastle v Liverpool and William Hill will give us an in play Super Bet Boost to use during the match. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £4.54 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- We must scratch on the Promotion page to reveal the offer.
- We must bet £10.00 on Newcastle v Liverpool between 00:00:01 and 19:45:00 on Saturday 4th May 2019.
- Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or greater.
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Liverpool in the 90 Minutes market.
At the time of writing, laying our bet at Smarkets gives us the smallest qualifying loss.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £9.73…
Place £10.00 on Liverpool @ 1.333 = Potential profit of £3.33
Lay £9.73 on Liverpool @ 1.39 = Potential liability of £3.79
Outcomes:
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Outcome | Bookie | Exchange | Profit/Loss |
---|---|---|---|
Liverpool win | +£3.33 | -£3.79 | £0.46 loss |
Liverpool don’t win | -£10.00 | +£9.53 | £0.47 loss |
So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £0.47 in qualifying for our Super Bet Boost.
Super Bet Boost:
Once Newcastle v Liverpool has kicked off at 19:45 on Saturday 4th May 2019, we just need to add a selection to our betslip to see our Super Bet Boost.
Our in play bet must be placed as a Single only, with a maximum stake of £20.00.
As this is a fairly new offer from William Hill, we can’t be sure how profitable the bet boost will be.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to make a profit of around £5.00 on our bet boost. If we take into account our minimum qualifying loss of £0.46, this gives us a potential profit of £4.54 on this William Hill offer!
* It proved a little difficult to find suitable boosts. A profit of around £2.00 was about the best we could do on this William Hill offer. *

Once Brighton v Newcastle has kicked off at 19:45 on Saturday 4th May 2019, we just need to add a selection to our betslip to see our Super Bet Boost.
Its Liverpool.
Cheers

Guest userAnyone not seeing theirs? Mine was in my “Free Bets/Bonuses” page, but now the match has kicked off it’s disappeared!
Tony S
Guest userNothing here either?
Rich
Guest userNothing for me…odd.
JonB
Guest userIt was in my free bets/bonuses page all day! Then as soon as the match kicked off it disappeared…
Vicky
Guest userMe neither
Steve H
Guest userI’ve tried, bet on draw for qualie and draw again in play, no enhanced odds. Meanwhile scallys have scored.
Jamie
Guest userI dont have any offer either, added selection to betslip and no boost available…
Scott
10Same issue for me too 🙁
Robert
Guest userSame here, just waiting in live chat for someone to connect! Looks like it wasn’t credited to anyone, possible because there was no ‘claim here’ button? What a cock up!
Tom
Guest userYeah me too think WH might have technical difficulties as I’m also waiting for a couple of racing refunds…
KenMarinaris
2The same here, cannot find these “super boosts” 🙁
Timmy
Guest userWhat a con, mass gubbing imminent?
Daniel N
Guest userMines working now. Can’t find a decent market though.
Alex
Guest userBoost is live for me now, but nothing worth writing home about. Can’t arb a single market so far. Won’t be doing this one again!
JonB
Guest userYeah. Will hills odds are so shocking, boosts just put them back to normal…
Ben
Guest userFound anything yet mate? Having the same problem!
Ben
Guest userIts working now. Any ideas what to place the boosted bet on?! Cant see anything obvious to make £5 from as suggested
Bob
Guest userEven with the boost I’m losing money – will be staying away from this.
Nick
Guest userI cut my “losses” and boosted to get a £1.40 profit… so overall about £1 up. Not as good as last week.
Ben
Guest userWhat a terrible offer this is. Staying well clear of it moving forward
mark williams
Guest userwhat on
Bob
Guest user3-2 on liverpool pays £10 if underlaid and it wins, thats about it.
mark williams
Guest useronly thing with a profit is newcastle and that will look serspicious
Bob
Guest userNah I think you’d have been fine, alot of money to cover though think they were 28/1? I ended up mugging newcastle to score 4th goal, got just under £30 back, defeats the purpose of MB i know but I’ll take it.
Scott
10I semi mugged mine, massive underlay on liverpool to win late on. Again got lucky but I was really struggling to find anything over £1 returns. Figured the odds I got on liverpool scoring a late winner where decent enough to punt a bit at it. Ended up with £28 profit. Not sure I will touch this offer again, I skipped it last time and did not enjoy trying to get something out of it this time.
Vicky
Guest userI went for under 4.5 goals boosted to 3.03, was 2.62 lay I got but went down to 2.5 literally straight after probably make about £2.43. Could chance it and place back bet then lay it when odds start going down??
Ben
Guest userI did the same but wasnt lucky enough to get such good odds… made about 50p lol. Wont be doing this offer again anytime soon!
Mike
Guest userI phoned William Hill. They had ‘technical difficulties’ which delayed the availability of the bet boost. They suggested there would be some form of apology/compensation…don’t hold your breath.
JonB
Guest userI’ve got a ‘Scratch Super Bet Boost 05-05 |Arsenal| |vs| |Brighton|’ in my account. Wonder if that’s the compo?
Can’t place it yet so guess it’s inplay only too.
