Sky Bet Offer – Man City v Man Utd

Grab a £5.00 free bet on Manchester City v Manchester United with Sky Bet! Opt in and place a single bet of at least £10.00 on any pre-match market for Manchester City v Manchester United and Sky Bet will give us a £5.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.44 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

We must opt-in to this offer to be eligible.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed pre-match at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater to be eligible for the free bet. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a Manchester City win.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

Place £10.00 on Man City @ 1.85 = Potential profit of £8.50

smarkets white

Lay £9.64 on Man City @ 1.94 = Potential liability of £9.06

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Man City win + £8.50 – £9.06 = £0.56 loss
Man City don’t win – £10.00 + £9.44 = £0.56 loss

So regardless of the result of match, we will lose £0.56 in qualifying for our £5.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

Our £5.00 free bet will be credited upon placement of our qualifying bet and can be used on any football market today. If not used, the free bet will expire at 23:59 tonight (Sunday 20th March 2016).

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% of our £5.00 free bet as cash, so around £4.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.56, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.44 on this Sky Bet offer!
