SkyBet Free Bet Offer – QPR v Liverpool

Another fantastic SkyBet free bet offer.  Simply place a minimum bet of £5.00 on QPR v Liverpool and if Liverpool win, SkyBet will refund all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles as a free bet up to £25.00 within 24 hours of the match finishing.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £8.42 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how to place your qualifying bets.

We need to select a correct score that isn’t a Liverpool win.  This ensures that if Liverpool win the match, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.  Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted for a 1-1 draw.

skybet

Place £25.00 on 1-1 draw @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £162.50

betfair

Lay £18.84 on 1-1 draw @ 10.00 = Potential liability of £169.56

Let’s have a look at our current potential profit/loss for the following outcomes…

1-1 draw +£162.50 – £169.56 = £7.06 loss
Not 1-1 draw and Liverpool win -£25.00 + £17.90 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £12.90 profit
Not 1-1 draw and Liverpool don’t win -£25.00 + £17.90 = £7.10 loss

So as things stand we will make £12.90 profit if Liverpool win.  Unfortunately, we also stand to lose a maximum of £7.10 on any other result and so we need to insure ourselves against this by laying Liverpool at Betfair.  We need to divide £7.10 by 0.95 in order to factor in the 5% commission.  This gives us a lay stake of £7.47.

betfair

Lay £7.47 on Liverpool @ 1.60 = Potential liability of £4.48

Let’s have a look at our resulting potential profit/loss for the following outcomes…

1-1 draw -£7.06 + £7.10 = £0.04 profit
Not 1-1 draw and Liverpool win £12.90 – £4.48 = £8.42 profit
Not 1-1 draw and Liverpool don’t win -£7.10 + £7.10 = £0.00

So if Liverpool win, we will make a nice profit of £8.42!  If Liverpool don’t win, we will break even and there’s no harm done.  If you’re not sure how to extract 80% of the £25.00 free bet refund, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.
