Stan James Offer – Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Arsenal host Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight and Stan James are getting in on the action. Simply place a £20.00 bet on the Match Betting market for Arsenal v Bayern Munich and if our bet is a winner, Stan James will give us a £5.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £3.09 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed between 09:00 on Monday 6th March 2017 and 19:45 on Tuesday 7th March 2017, to be eligible.

Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Bayern Munich.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using the matched betting calculator…

Place £20.00 on Bayern Munich @ 1.909 = Potential profit of £18.18

smarkets whiteLay £19.48 on Bayern Munich @ 1.98 = Potential liability of £19.09

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Bayern Munich win + £18.18 – £19.09 + £4.00 (extract 80% of £5.00 free bet) = £3.09 profit
Bayern Munich don’t win – £20.00 + £19.09 (£19.48 minus 2% commission) = £0.91 loss

So, if Bayern Munich win, we’ll make a nice profit of £3.09, otherwise we’ll have made a small loss of £0.91. Risking £0.91 to make a profit of £3.09, gives us effective odds of 4.40, so given that the odds of Bayern Munich winning are only 1.909, this is a profitable offer in the long run.

If eligible, our free bet will be credited within 48 hours and will be valid for 7 days. Free bet stakes are not returned with any winnings.

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% cash from a £5.00 free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
