It’s Week 12 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this Sun Bets offer! Simply place a First Goalscorer bet on any Premier League game televised on Sky or BT, and if our bet has lost by half-time, Sun Bets will refund our stake as a free bet up to £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £18.00 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:
This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…
Fixture | Kick-Off | Date |
---|---|---|
Man Utd v Arsenal | 12:30 | Saturday 19th November 2016 |
Tottenham v West Ham | 17:30 | Saturday 19th November 2016 |
Middlesbrough v Chelsea | 16:00 | Sunday 20th November 2016 |
West Brom v Burnley | 20:00 | Monday 21st November 2016 |
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
If our First Goalscorer bet has lost by half-time, Sun Bets will refund our stake as a free bet up to £10.00.
This offer is applicable to one qualifying bet per customer, per day.
At the time of writing, the lay odds are pretty poor, but the fictional odds in the following example will give you an idea of how this offer might pan out.
We’ll need to lay our First Goalscorer bets on the Betfair Exchange.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £8.63…
Place £10.00 on Alexis Sanchez @ 6.00 = Potential profit of £50.00
Lay £8.63 on Alexis Sanchez @ 7.00 = Potential liability of £51.80
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Sanchez scores first | + £50.00 – £51.80 = £1.80 loss |
Someone else scores first before half-time | – £10.00 + £8.20 + £8.00 (extract 80% from £10.00 free bet) = £6.20 profit |
Someone else scores first after half-time | – £10.00 + £8.20 = £1.80 |
So, if any player other than Alexis Sanchez scores first before half-time, we will make a nice profit of £6.20. If, however, Alexis Sanchez scores first or the score is 0-0 at half-time, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.80. Risking £1.80 to make a profit of £6.20, gives us effective odds of 4.44, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
This offer is available on all four televised matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for. I’ll update the following table with my selections throughout the weekend…
Fixture | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Man Utd v Arsenal | Walcott | 7.50 | 9.20 | £2.21 | £5.79 |
Tottenham v West Ham | – | – | – | – | – |
Middlesbrough v Chelsea | Hazard | 5.50 | 6.40 | £1.77 | £6.23 |
West Brom v Burnley | Rondon | 4.75 | 6.20 | £2.66 | £5.34 |
So, we’ll lose a couple of quid on each bet that doesn’t come off, but with approximately £6.00 profit per game up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!
