We must place a real money win single bet of £20.00 or more on the Premier League Winner 2016/17 market. We will then receive a £5.00 free bet for every goal our selection scores during the first weekend of Premier League Matches (Saturday 13th August 2016 – Monday 15th August 2016).
It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bet on, but having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on the favourites, Manchester City.

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £17.43…
Place £20.00 on Man City @ 3.25 = Potential profit of £45.00
Lay £17.43 on Man City @ 3.75 = Potential liability of £47.92
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…
| Man City win | + £45.00 – £47.92 = £2.92 loss |
| Man City don’t win | – £20.00 + £17.08 (£17.43 minus 2% commission) = £2.92 loss |
So, regardless of who wins the Premier League 2016/17, we will lose £2.92 in qualifying for our potential free bets.
Free Bets:
Free bets must be used on football within 7 days and the free bet stake is not returned with any winnings.
Leicester City secured the biggest win on the opening weekend last season by beating Sunderland 4-2.
If Manchester City can do the same, we would receive £20.00 in free bets, from which we would extract 80% as cash, so £16.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £2.92, this gives us a potential profit of £13.08 on this TitanBet offer!
NOTE: If you do not wish to have funds tied up in your Smarkets account for the duration of the season, you could let your back bet run as a punt. Manchester City should score some goals to cover part of your £20.00 stake and if they go on to win the league, you’ll make a nice profit of £45.00 in addition to the free bets.
