Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
We need to place our qualifying bets on selections that don’t see the home team losing. This ensures that if the home team loses, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.
The eligible matches are as follows…
Fixture | Kick-off | Date |
---|---|---|
Leicester City v West Brom | 19:45 | Tuesday 1st March 2016 |
Norwich v Chelsea | 19:45 | Tuesday 1st March 2016 |
Aston Villa v Everton | 19:45 | Tuesday 1st March 2016 |
Bournemouth v Southampton | 19:45 | Tuesday 1st March 2016 |
Sunderland v Crystal Palace | 19:45 | Tuesday 1st March 2016 |
Arsenal v Swansea | 19:45 | Wednesday 2nd March 2016 |
Man Utd v Watford | 20:00 | Wednesday 2nd March 2016 |
West Ham v Tottenham | 19:45 | Wednesday 2nd March 2016 |
Liverpool v Man City | 20:00 | Wednesday 2nd March 2016 |
Stoke v Newcastle | 19:45 | Wednesday 2nd March 2016 |
It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on. Having looked at the odds available for the Norwich City v Chelsea game, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a 1-1 draw.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £16.70…
Place £20.00 on a 1-1 draw @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £130.00
Lay £16.70 on a 1-1 draw @ 9.00 = Potential liability of £133.63
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
1-1 draw | + £130.00 – £133.63 = £3.63 loss |
Not a 1-1 draw and home team loses | – £20.00 + £16.37 + £15.00 (extract 75% from our £20.00 free bet) = £11.37 profit |
Not a 1-1 draw and home team doesn’t lose | – £20.00 + £16.37 = £3.63 loss |
So, if the home team loses (Chelsea win), we will make a nice profit of £11.37. Any other outcome and we’ll have lost £3.63. Risking £3.63 to make a profit of £11.37, gives us effective odds of 4.13, so given the fact that the odds of Chelsea winning are only 1.667, this is a very profitable offer over time.
This offer is available on all ten Premier League matches this week, giving us a potential overall profit of £113.70 on this Titanbet offer. I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual selections on the other nine games after the matches have been played.
Free bets will be credited within 48 hours of each match ending and will expire after 7 days. They must be placed at maximum odds of 5.00 (4/1) or less. If you’re unsure how to extract 75% of our £20.00 free bets, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
* I qualified for 8 of the 10 eligible matches at a qualifying loss of £23.27. I hit two away wins, meaning I made an overall profit of £6.73 on this Titanbet offer. *
