World Cup 2018 Offer – Unibet

The World Cup 2018 is almost upon us and you don’t want to miss this Unibet offer. Simply bet £10.00 on the World Cup 2018 Outright Winner and Unibet will give us a free bet every time they win a match! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £10.83 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

Qualifying bets must be placed before 15:59 on Thursday 14th June 2018, to be eligible.

The free bets will be worth £2.00 or £5.00, depending on which team you select as follows…

Free Bet Value Football Nation
£2.00 Brazil – Germany – Spain – France – Argentina – Belgium – England – Portugal – Uruguay – Croatia – Russia – Colombia – Poland – Switzerland – Mexico – Denmark
£5.00 Serbia – Sweden – Peru – Senegal – Iceland – Nigeria – Egypt – Japan – Morocco – Australia – Costa Rica – Iran – Tunisia – South Korea – Panama – Saudi Arabia

It’s entirely up to you which team you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on England.

At the time of writing, laying our bet at Smarkets gives us the smallest qualifying loss.

Just bear in mind that our exchange funds will be tied up until our team get knocked out. The alternative is to not lay our bet and just let the qualifying bet run. England should win enough matches to cover some of the £10.00 stake and we could win big if they go on to win the tournament.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £9.75…

Unibet logo

Place £10.00 on England @ 19.00 = Potential profit of £180.00

Smarkets logo

Lay £9.75 on England @ 19.50 = Potential liability of £180.37

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

England win + £180.00 – £180.37 = £0.37 loss
England don’t win – £10.00 + £9.55 (£9.75 minus 2% commission) = £0.45 loss

So, regardless of who wins the tournament, we’ll lose a maximum of £0.45 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

NOTE: It’s worth pointing out that if we select the same team for the various different bookmaker Outright Winner offers, we would need a huge amount in our exchange account to cover the overall liability. By selecting a few different teams, we can reduce our overall liability at the exchange. That’s because only one team can win the tournament, so we just need enough exchange funds to cover the team with the largest liability.

Free Bets:

For every match that England win (including extra time/penalties), we’ll receive a £2.00 free bet by 12:00 the following World Cup match day. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

There are 3 group matches and 4 potential knock out matches. If England win all 7 matches, we’ll receive £14.00 in free bets. By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £14.00 in free bets, so £11.20. If we take our qualifying loss of £0.37 into account, that gives us a potential profit of £10.83 on this Unibet offer!

* England won 4 matches in total on their way to finishing 4th in the tournament, resulting in a profit of £5.95 on this Unibet offer. *
