Yeovil v Man Utd Offer – Paddy Power

It’s Yeovil v Man Utd in the FA Cup 4th Round on Friday and you don’t want to miss this Money Back Special from Paddy Power. Simply place a bet on selected markets and if Man Utd beat Yeovil, Paddy Power will refund all losing bets as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £5.86 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unsure about how to place qualifying bets, check out my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

The eligible markets are First/Last/Anytime Goalscorer, Correct Score and WhatOddsPaddy.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on. At the time of writing, the Correct Score lay odds are not yet available, so I’ll use fictional odds for 3-0 Man Utd in the following example and I’ll update the bottom of the post with some actual odds after the match.

We’ll need to place our lay bet with Smarkets as Betfair have joined forces with Paddy Power and are now part of the same group.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £8.54…

Place £10.00 on 3-0 Man Utd @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £65.00

Smarkets logo

Lay £8.54 on 3-0 Man Utd @ 8.80 = Potential liability of £66.61

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

3-0 Man Utd + £65.00 – £66.61 = £1.61 loss
Not 3-0 Man Utd and Man Utd win – £10.00 + £8.36 + £7.50 (extract 75% from our £10.00 free bet) = £5.86 profit
Not 3-0 Man Utd and Man Utd don’t win – £10.00 + £8.36 = £1.64 loss

So, we’ll make a nice profit of £5.86 if Man Utd win the match by any score other than 3-0. We stand to lose a maximum of £1.64 on any other outcome. Risking £1.64 to make a profit of £5.86 gives us effective odds of 4.57. Given that Man Utd are odds of just 1.125 (1/8) to win the match, this is a profitable offer in the long run, even though we need them to win by any score other than 3-0.

If eligible, free bets will be credited within an hour of the match ending and will be valid for 7 days on football markets.

If you’re unsure how to extract 75% of a £10.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

* 3-0 Man Utd was available at back odds of 6.50 and lay odds of 6.80. Man Utd won the match 4-0, resulting in a profit of £6.89 on this Paddy Power offer. *
