Coral Offer – Hero World Challenge 2017

The Hero World Challenge 2017 tees off later today and you don’t want to miss this Coral offer. Simply place a £5.00+ win or each way single on any player to win the Hero World Challenge and if Tiger Woods finishes in the Top 5, Coral will double our winnings as a free bet, up to £100.00! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £74.96 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed between 00:01 on Wednesday 29th November 2017 and 16:10 (first tee-off) on Thursday 30th November 2017, to be eligible.

To qualify, we must place a £5.00+ single bet or each way bet on any golfer in the Hero World Challenge Outright Winner market. If our player wins the tournament and Tiger Woods finishes in the top 5 (including ties), Coral will double our winnings as a free bet, up to a maximum of £100.00.

The maximum free bet is £100.00 per customer and this will be credited within 24 hours of our bet being settled. Free bets will be valid for 4 days and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

It’s entirely up to you which golfer you go for. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Brooks Koepka.

In order to work out our back stake, we need to divide £100.00 by 11.00 (back odds minus 1.00). This gives us a back stake of £9.09. It’s best that we stick to round numbers when placing our qualifying bet, so we should stake £10.00 instead.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Betfair as they have great liquidity and the site is really easy to use.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £10.48…

Place £10.00 on Brooks Koepka @ 12.00 = Potential profit of £110.00

Lay £10.48 on Brooks Koepka @ 11.50 = Potential liability of £110.04

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Brooks Koepka wins and Tiger Woods finishes outside Top 5 + £110.00 – £110.04 = £0.04 loss
Brooks Koepka wins and Tiger Woods finishes in Top 5 + £110.00 – £110.04 + £75.00 (75% extracted from £100.00 free bet) = £74.96 profit
Brooks Koepka doesn’t win – £10.00 + £9.95 = £0.05 loss

So, if Brooks Koepka wins the tournament and Tiger Woods finishes in the Top 5 (including ties), we’ll make a nice profit of £74.96. Any other outcome and we’ll lose a maximum of £0.05. Risking £0.05 to make a profit of £74.96, gives us effective odds of 1,500.20, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.

* Brooks Koepka failed to win the tournament and Tiger Woods finished in a tie for 9th place, resulting in a loss of £0.05 on this Coral offer. *
