Coral never let us down when it comes to golf Majors and they’ve done it again with a market-leading US Masters offer. Simply place a pre-tournament £10.00+ Win Single bet on The Masters Enhanced Win Only, 5 Place or 6 Place Markets and get a free £10.00 in-play bet to use on the same tournament. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a minimum guaranteed profit of £6.81 and here’s how…
Qualifying bet:
If you’re new to matched betting, check out my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how to place qualifying bets.
It’s entirely up to you which player you go for, but having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted for Rory McIlroy as this gives me the lowest qualifying loss.
Place £10.00 on Rory McIlroy @ 7.00 = Potential profit of £60.00.
Lay £9.27 on Rory McIlroy @ 7.60 = Potential liability of £61.18
Let’s have a look at our current potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…
Rory McIlroy wins | +£60.00 – £61.18 = £1.18 loss |
Rory McIlroy doesn’t win | -£10.00 + £8.81 (£9.27 minus 5% commission) = £1.19 loss |
So regardless of the outcome, we will lose a maximum of £1.19 in order to claim our £10.00 in-play free bet.
Free Bet:
Our account will be credited with the free bet once The US Masters tees off at 13:00 on Thursday 9th April 2015 and expires at the end of the tournament on Sunday.
By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract at least 80% of the free bet (see my Free Bet Strategy page), so approximately £8.00. If we take into consideration our maximum qualifying loss of £1.19, we should make a guaranteed minimum profit of £6.81 on this offer.
