Unibet Free Bet Offer – Ryder Cup 2014

It’s time for another Unibet free bet offer!  Simply place a £20.00 pre-tournament bet on the Ryder Cup (Top Debutant Player, Top English Points Scorer, Top European Points Scorer, Top USA Points Scorer or Top Points Scorer) and Unibet will refund all losing bets if USA win the tournament.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £13.50 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how to place your qualifying bets.

Due to the markets we have to place our qualifying bets on, it is going to difficult to make this offer risk-free.  This is an offer where we have to accept a small potential loss in favour of big potential gains and the odds make this profitable in the long run.  It’s entirely up to you which market you go for.  Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Rory McIlroy being the Top Overall Points Scorer.

Place £20.00 on Rory McIlroy @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £130.00

betfair

Lay £18.40 on Rory McIlroy @ 8.2 = Potential liability of £132.48

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the three outcomes…

Rory McIlroy top scores +£130.00 – £132.48 = £2.48 loss
Rory McIlroy doesn’t top score and USA win -£20.00 + £17.50 + £16.00 (extract 80% from our £20.00 free bet) = £13.50 profit
Rory McIlroy doesn’t top score and USA don’t win -£20.00 + £17.50 = £2.50 loss

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £25.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.

So, we will make £13.50 profit if USA win.  Unfortunately, we also stand to lose a maximum of £2.50 if USA don’t win or Rory McIlroy top scores.  I’m happy to accept this small potential loss as the odds of USA winning are around 2.82 making this a profitable offer in the long run.
