US Open 2018 Offer – SportPesa

The US Open 2018 gets underway on Thursday and you don’t want to miss this SportPesa offer. Simply bet £20.00+ on the US Open 2018 Outright Winner and SportPesa will give us a £1.00 free bet for every birdie our player makes! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.43 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

Qualifying bets must be placed between 10:00 on Tuesday 12th June 2018 and 11:45 (start-time) on Thursday 14th June 2018, to be eligible.

It’s entirely up to you which player you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Justin Rose.

At the time of writing, laying our bet at Smarkets gives us the smallest qualifying loss.

Just bear in mind that our exchange funds will be tied up until either Justin Rose misses the cut on Friday or the tournament ends on Sunday. The alternative is to not lay our bet and just let the qualifying bet run. Justin Rose should make enough birdies to cover some of the £20.00 stake and we could win big if he goes on to win the tournament.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.20…

Place £20.00 on Justin Rose @ 15.00 = Potential profit of £280.00

Smarkets logo

Lay £18.20 on Justin Rose @ 16.50 = Potential liability of £282.10

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Justin Rose wins + £280.00 – £282.10 = £2.10 loss
Justin Rose doesn’t win – £20.00 + £17.83 (£18.20 minus 2% commission) = £2.17 loss

So, regardless of who wins the tournament, we’ll lose a maximum of £2.17 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Free Bets:

For every birdie that Justin Rose makes, we’ll receive a £1.00 free bet. For the purposes of this promotion, if a player gets a Hole in one, Albatross or Eagle, this will count the same as a birdie. Our free bets will be credited within 48 hours of our qualifying bet being settled and will be valid for 5 days. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

If Justin Rose makes 12 birdies in total, we’ll receive £12.00 in free bets. By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £12.00 in free bets, so £9.60. If we take our maximum qualifying loss of £2.17 into account, that gives us a potential profit of £7.43 on this SportPesa offer!

* Justin Rose made 9 birdies in total and didn’t win the tournament, resulting in a profit of £5.03 on this SportPesa offer. *
