Qualifying bets
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
This offer applies to all Cheltenham races between Tuesday 14th March 2017 and Friday 17th March 2017.
Bets must be placed after 17:00 the day before the race, to be eligible. A race must contain eight or more runners for 3rd place refunds and five or more runners for 2nd place refunds.
We’ll need to be selective with this offer and only go for selections with tight back and lay odds in races where there is a clear favourite.
The back and lay odds should tighten up as the start of each race draws nearer. In the meantime, I’ll use fictional odds for the Arkle Chase (14:10 on Tuesday) in the following example to illustrate how this offer should be done each day.

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.79…
Place £20.00 on Charbel @ 9.00 = Potential profit of £160.00
Lay £18.79 on Charbel @ 9.60 = Potential liability of £161.59
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
| Charbel wins | + £160.00 – £161.59 = £1.59 loss |
| Charbel finishes 2nd or 3rd to SP Favourite | – £20.00 + £18.41 + £16.00 (extract 80% from £20.00 free bet) = £14.41 profit |
| Any other outcome | – £20.00 + £18.41 = £1.59 loss |
So, if Charbel finishes 2nd or 3rd to the SP Favourite, we’ll make a nice profit of £14.41, otherwise we’ll have made a loss of £1.59. Risking £1.59 to make a profit of £14.41, gives us effective odds of 10.06, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
With four days of racing to look forward to, this gives us an overall potential profit of £100.00+ on this BoyleSports Cheltenham 2017 offer!
