Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £6.39 and here’s how…

It’s entirely up to you which horse you place your qualifying bet on, though it needs to be any horse other than Concertista.
At the time of writing, the back and lay odds aren’t quite tight enough. I’ll use fictional odds in the following example to illustrate how this offer works and I’ll update the bottom of the post with an actual selection after the race.

Place £20.00 on Roksana @ 3.50 = Potential profit of £50.00
Lay £18.77 on Roksana @ 3.75 = Potential liability of £51.61

So, if Concertista wins, we’ll make a nice profit of £6.39! Any other outcome and we’ll lose £1.61. Risking £1.61 to make a profit of £6.39, gives us effective odds of 4.97. So, given that Concertista is odds of just 2.20 (6/5) to win the race, this is a profitable offer in the long run.
